- Ensure full compliance with all relevant environmental laws and regulations in the Philippines, including but not limited to:
- Republic Act (RA Philippine Clean Water Act)
- RA 8749 (Philippine Clean Air Act)
- RA 6969 (Toxic Substances, Hazardous and Nuclear Waste Control Act)
- RA 9003 (Ecological Solid Waste Management Act)
- Presidential Decree (PD Philippine Environmental Impact Statement System)
- Relevant Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Administrative Orders (DAOs) and other implementing rules and regulations.
- Develop, implement, and monitor environmental management programs (e.g., waste management, wastewater treatment, air emission control, energy conservation).
- Contribute to environmental risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and submit all required environmental reports to DENR (e.g., Self-Monitoring Report - SMR, Pollution Control Officer Report).
- Manage environmental permits and licenses, ensuring timely renewal and compliance with conditions.
- Promote environmental awareness and sustainable practices among employees.
- Serve as the company's designated Pollution Control Officer (PCO), if qualified and necessary.
- Contribute to Microsourcing's annual GHG emissions reporting including collating data and entering data in Microsourcings GHG inventory.
- Where required assist with client GHG data reporting and questionnaires.
III. HSE Program Rollout & Culture Building:
- Actively participate in the development and rollout of company-wide HSE strategies and initiatives within all Philippine entities.
- Promote a proactive and positive HSE culture through awareness campaigns, communication, and employee engagement activities.
- Collaborate with various departments to integrate HSE requirements into operational processes and project planning.
- Regularly communicate HSE performance, challenges, and improvements to management and employees.
- Stay updated on new and amended Philippine OSH and environmental laws and regulations, and advise management on necessary adjustments.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans for fire, medical emergencies, chemical spills, and other potential incidents.
What You Need:
Non-negotiables
- Completed the mandatory forty-hour BOSH training from the OSHC (Occupational Safety and Health Center), an accredited training organization, or a university-based education relevant to the industry.
- Completed an additional aggregate of 80 hours of advanced/specialized occupational safety training courses relevant to the industry.
- Actual experience as Safety Officer 3 for at least four (4) years in a BPO setting.
- At least 3 years of proven experience in environmental compliance, regulatory affairs, environmental management systems, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of Philippine Occupational Health and Safety standards and compliance requirements
- At least 2 years of proven experience in environmental compliance, regulatory affairs, environmental management systems, or a similar role.
- Bachelor's Degree
