Job purpose

Ensure accuracy of IFRS16 accounts are accurate and complete based on the accounting schedule as well as the reversal of existing IAS17 ledger. Perform reconciliation of IFRS16 accounts. If errors are not corrected the costs are compounded for future year charges.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Take ownership of assigned country (s) for IFRS16 reporting / accounts.
  • Update accounting schedule (IFRS16) based on the lease updates on a timely manner
  • Perform reconciliation of IFRS16 accounts
  • Ensure that the IAS17 reversals entries accuracy and completeness
  • Perform test on the lease data accuracy (e.g., Lease payments, Lease dates & etc.)
  • Develop close working relationship with country stakeholders and points of contact
  • Suggest improvements and automation to existing processes based on business requirements
  • Submit audit requirements on a timely manner
  • Ensure all processes are accurate and followed.
  • Understand, meet or exceed KPI's

Qualifications

  • Experience on financial accounting and reporting.

Overall Responsibilities:

Deliver accounting and operational activities within financial accounting tower. Ensure all accounting entries and reconciliations are prepared accurately, completely and by specified deadlines. The role will play a pivotal role in supporting the Company's finance function. Within the role, you will work closely with COE Controllership team, responsible for supporting decision-making processes by providing accurate financial information and analysis to various stakeholders. What you will be doing:

Core responsibilities

  • Prepare, create, and post journals and submit for approval;
  • Maintain organised and up-to-date records of reconciliation activities, including supporting documentation and evidence;
  • Perform Balance Sheet and TB reconciliations assigned by the Senior Team Manager;
  • Maintain schedules, account reconciliations and perform accounts analysis as assigned by the Senior Team Manager;
  • Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely statutory and consolidated financial statements and disclosures, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements by collaborating across functions;
  • Knowledge in a variety of ad hoc technical accounting issues; preparing technical accounting work papers; preparing these for audit and presenting these to management;
  • Provide support to Senior Controllership Specialists for all internal and external audit activities through the provision of required documentation, attendance of necessary meetings.
  • Collaborate with COE Controllership Senior Team Manager to set daily, weekly, monthly and annual performance targets and KPI's for the team
