1. Works in researching and developing/improving all products in accordance with market demands and adheres to cGMP, Food Safety, HACCP and FSSC protocols.

**Qualifications**
- Preferably a graduate of B.S. Chemistry, B.S. Chemical Engineering, B.S. Pharmacy, Industrial Pharmacy, BS Food Technology or any related courses. A professional board license and Masters degree would be an advantage.
- Preferably with 3years and above of relevant work experience in a pharmaceutical, animal health food industry and personal care manufacturing laboratory. Able to develop and implements R and D procedures and techniques.
- Must have an extensive Research and Product Development experience.

Prepares samples requested by sales & marketing department;
- If there is no reference sample or the client has no required dimensions, to do the sizing measurement.
- Analyzes the size/dimension and the content to be packed before coming-out with the size/dimension.
- Discusses the size/dimensions with the R&D manager before final execution.
- If sizes/dimensions are available, prepare the sample pouches manually.

- Conducts inventory on remaining and existing product samples.
- Handles disposal of obsolete stocks.
- Prepares documents of items for disposal and for approval/signature of R&D manager.
- Forwards samples and transmittal slips to sales& marketing coordinators.
- In the absence of R&D Manager, to receive sample request form sales & marketing coordinators.
- Assists the R&D manager in the preparation of internal product specifications (IPS).
- Assists R&D manager in providing alternative/improvement studies in the material and/or process and recommends appropriate modification and changes.
- Assists R&D manager in estimating costs of R&D projects and setting the quality standards based on research & development studies and analysis.
- Assists R&D manager in ensuring that the research & development projects are cost-effective.
- Assists the R&D manager in introducing new production methods and enhanced innovative products to attain the acceptable quality of products, better machine efficiency, and higher productivity with less cost.
- Assists the R&D manager in the implementation of the HACCP, GMP, and ISO QMS and other quality and work standards.
- Assists the R&D manager in conducting in-house training and seminars on research & development activities; ISO standards; HACCP requirements; and, internal and external auditing, etc.
- Maintains high standards of housekeeping and practices safe working procedures in the conduct of testing inspection and handling of chemicals.
