PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for all the sections under his/her supervision in the recreation, entertainment, sports and activities in the hotel.
- Supervises the staff conducting all activities, entertainment, and sports.

TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly.
COMMERCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for knowing the monthly Budgeted Income and Expenses and ensuring the department meets the targeted figures.
- Preparation of the departmental annual budget, including anticipated revenue and expenses for Recreation area.
- To drive revenue initiatives using the resources of the hotel. Revenue opportunities will be capitalized from both hotels guests and the exploring of outside business opportunities.
HUMAN RESOURCES RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops and trains team member. Conducts on the job training in accordance with the departmental standards and procedures and maintains a record of progress for each staff.
- To evaluate all Recreation team member after training-performance knowledge and potential.
- To oversee and check that all Recreation team member are on duty at their station and involved in activities projects or guest interaction.
- Oversee monthly rosters of staff schedules.
RELATIONSHIP
- Interacts and responsible for the safety of the guests and employees.
- Relays information on activities to guests.
- Contacts outside entertainers for work in the hotel and arranges their payment.
- Arranges and supervises all activities and entertainment for special occasions, e.g., Christmas and New Year.
- Arranges and supervises all activities connected to special requests for groups, or other guests.
- Arranges and attends all Recreation functions.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Oversees the Operations Officer, supervisors, including determining workloads and schedules, implementing and interpreting policies and procedures. Also effectively evaluates the Operations Officer and supervisors, hires, and recommends disciplinary actions.
Plans and monitors execution of a wide variety of recreational programs, including meeting with external partners, community leaders, officers of other organizations or agencies, and strategizes course of action by working with supervisors to do actual legwork for activities.
Recommends policies, procedures, operational improvements and procurement plans to enhance the day-to-day operations, including maintenance, usage, cleaning and up keeping of the Beach Area, Main Pavilion, Seahorse Kiddie Village, Veda Spa, Pool Complex, Beach Area, Watersports Pavilion, Bike Park, Tennis Court, playgrounds, and other outdoor recreation facilities.
Analyzes and assesses program activities, including scheduling and budgeting of expenditures to ensure activities run smoothly.
When complaints are escalated by a supervisor or team leader, he/she responds through written or verbal channels.
Organizes and creates analysis reports based on documents submitted by the Operations Officer such as statistical studies, revenue reports, expenditure logs, work order monitoring, purchase request recording, and inventory.
Provides input into the development of budgets, including determining staffing and asset requirements.
Ensures protocols are followed in the registration of activities, filling out of forms, implementation of activity programs, recording, reporting, and proper filing of documents.
Maintains high standard of safety for clients and employees. Plans measures to eliminate unsafe work environments and unsafe acts.
Instructs and leads supervisors in the performance of assigned duties and checks on the completion of work.
Monitors and organizes work assignments and outputs of the Copywriter on a daily basis. Ensures the Copywriter receives support in provision of supplies, equipment, and other tools necessary to improve, expedite, and maintain high quality of outputs to be approved by the Recreation and Activity Manager.
Formulates training and development plans for staff enhancement through seminars, workshops, field trips, exposure activities and other means of learning. Ensures licenses of lifeguards, boat operators, skippers, radio handlers, divers and other skilled employees are renewed on time.
To present and maintain a professional appearance and demeanour, including wearing appropriate uniform or attire for the position and exhibiting respect and enthusiasm as duties and responsibilities are carried out.
Actively research on new trends in the market in terms of activity offerings, watersports options, sports, and operation of spas, game rooms, souvenir shops, playgrounds, aquatic facilities, and other related facilities.

**POSITION SUMMARY**
Serve as a key resource for all recreation activities facilitated on the property. Provide information to guests about available recreation facilities, which may include pools, beach, entertainment zone/game-room, fitness center, and child activities center. Encourage, recruit, register, and schedule guests to participate in recreation activities. Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests. Promote the rules and regulations of the recreation facilities intended for the safety and welfare of guests and members. Observe activity in the recreational facility and respond appropriately in accordance with local operating procedure in the event of an emergency. Provide cashier services when working in facilities that include point of sales transactions. Assist when hosting private functions within the recreation facilities with group activities and events. Be aware of possible situations where guests are not able to safely participate in an activity and inform supervisor/manager Provide assistance to injured guests until the arrival of emergency medical services. Clean and maintain recreational facilities, equipment and supplies.
Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications.
