The QA Specialit - Licensed Chemist will complete moderately complex analytical and laboratory testing in support of the food safety quality and operational teams. • Conduct routine quantitative and qualitative inspections and laboratory tests on raw materials, in process and final products independently and support more complex trials and experiments under intermediate supervision.
• Ensure compliance programs for all individual testing, which includes monitoring adherence to regulations and other procedural food safety compliance.
• Interpret and document results of tests into active databases and communicate results to internal customers as required.
• Run calibration checks, preventive maintenance tasks and simple repair to analytical instrumentation and maintain customer specifications books.
• Help develop food and feed safety, quality and regulatory culture and collaborate cross functionally to build, maintain and improve an effective food safety, quality and regulatory culture.
• Handle moderately complex clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under general supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

The Pharmacist/QA Specialist is responsible for implementing environmental and quality programs, overseeing laboratory activities, and ensuring safe, efficient, and timely delivery of analytical services. Acting as the Nominated Deputy for the Ops Safety & QRA Manager, this role also serves as the Quality Controller and batch releaser for medical gases, handling sampling, testing, and validation in compliance with FDA requirements. The position requires effective teamwork, minimal supervision, and strong collaboration with customers, peers, and supervisors

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will:

• Maintains site licenses through coordination with regulatory authorities.
• Implements corrective and preventive actions from QC/QA processes, production activities, and quality audits.
• Serves as the site's nominated deputy for the QRA Manager and as Quality Controller/Batch Releaser for medical gases.
• Conducts chemical testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished packaged gases in accordance with documented analytical procedures.
• Supports the site's Quality Management System.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

• You must have a degree in Pharmacy.
• You must be a licensed Pharmacist (RPh).
• You must have at least 2 years of relevant experience as a Quality Assurance Specialist, preferably in a food manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or any related industry.
• You must have hands-on experience in regulatory compliance in an industrial setting or related field.

The responsibilities of a
QA Specialist

• Ensuring accuracy of information and quality of delivery by monitoring, auditing, reviewing, analyzing, documenting work processes that further improves clinical operations standards

Facilitate timely and proper conduct of independent appraisal of the effectiveness of food safety policies, procedures and standards of the company's resources and operations

• Ensures proper product handling procedures are implemented from receiving of raw materials to dispatching of finished goods. Ensure that cold chain is maintained throughout the process.
• Facilitate visual validation or sensory assessment to evaluate quality of purchased supplies and/or finished product re: adherence to approved specifications and quality standards and provide feedback as appropriate
• Ensure validation of all monitoring of control points of processes in their assigned area
• Conducts validation of cleaning and sanitation of the area. Check if facility and internal structures are compliant to food safety standards. Evaluate new equipment, materials, and techniques relevant to the operations of the assigned business unit(s); assist in evaluating new products and provide recommendations accordingly.
• Recommend measures for improving work procedures and employee performance and practices to increase service quality and enhance food safety.
• Facilitate timely preparation of complete and accurate analysis, and recommendations on audit findings.
• Recommend removal of inventory items that are obsolete or damaged or expired to ensure that no stock is kept in circulation that is out of date or below par the company's quality standard.
