Job Title: Head of Government Relations
**Reporting to: CEO**
Location: Remote (South East Asia)
**What do you get to do?**
- Proactively lead the progress of Open Finance by establishing and maintaining continued dialogue with key regulators, including BSP, NPC, SEC, BOI, as well as the DTI and PCC whether by:
- Developing awareness on Open Finance
- Addressing relevant legal issues via open communication lines to proactively prevent the imposition of penalties and fines on Brankas
- Build strategic relationships with identified persons in key government agencies
- Ensure the representation of Brankas in regulatory projects involving the delivery of financial services, including the National Strategy for Financial Inclusion
- Provide relevant comments and input to draft regulations circulated for comments by key regulators, such as the BSP, NPC, SEC and BOI, as well as the DTI and PCC
- Represent Brankas in conflict resolution with regulators
- Develop, implement and monitor the progress of internal policies that will address key concerns identified by regulators
- Lead industry efforts to advance Open Finance across the region by:
- Leadership in industry groups like the Fintech Alliance and Fintech Philippines
- Mounting information dissemination campaigns through industry groups, university linkages or government partnerships
- Initiating CSR campaigns that directly benefit Open Finance
- Link with merchant-partners to identify opportunities for collaboration and to address pain points with various regulators
- Establish dialogue with financial institutions to address Open Finance issues, before escalation to regulators
- Build and bring best practices on Open Finance into the region from developed jurisdictions like EU, Australia and US
- Develop and test crisis management plans for various possible outcomes
- Liaise with various providers, including law and PR firms, to further the above efforts
**What do we look for in you?**
- Lawyer/Non Lawyer but with 5-7 year experience in government/regulatory affairs
- Leadership experience in industry groups, such as Bankers Association of the Philippines, Bankers Institute of the Philippines, Fintech Association of the Philippines, Fintech Philippines
- Wide network within regulatory agencies/Congress, or proven networking skills
- Experience in designing and implementing a privacy program in a growth stage company
