Policy Issuance
- Encodes, prints and issues policies and endorsements, based on agreed schedule of benefits, after client's confirmation and receipt of complete data requirements.
- Maintains an updated database of all members insured under the group policies.
- Validates and issues individual certificates for newly enrolled members, upon receipt and approval of complete data requirements.
- Prints renewal notice including detailed plan coverage and schedule of benefits.
- Issues renewal policies as advised by clients.
- Maintains file of accounts handled.
Individual Underwriting
- Reviews all details in the plan member application form including other documents submitted.
- Screens applications with regard to Body Mass Index (BMI) and presence of record in the Medical Impairment Bureau.
- Forwards insurance applications that are beyond underwriting authority not within standard rating guidelines and coverage is above Php1M to medical underwriter for further underwriting.
- Accepts insurance applications that are within standard rating guidelines and within authority limit of Php1M.
- Maintains log of all applications handled.
- Maintains strict confidentiality in handling all enrollment applications.
Client Servicing
- Responds to clients' inquiries regarding policy details, outstanding premiums, status of enrolment applications and endorsements, etc.
Others
- Orients management trainees and new employees of Affinity Administration or Affinity's processes specifically policy issuance.
- Participates in the department's action planning and implementation.
- Takes an active role in the Performance Planning & Appraisal Process (PPA), as prescribed in the PPA Policies & Procedures.
- Performs other duties as necessary in meeting the objectives/mission of the department and/or as assigned by superior.
