Role accountabilities:
Your role will include, but is not limited to:
- Do hydraulics engineering design for process equipment, with minimum guidance provided by an experienced engineer.
- Use 2D and 3D drafting/modelling software tools to create layouts, schematics and details of hydraulic and process utilities connections to process equipment
- Build proficiency in REVIT and other software used in the design process.
- Perform the tasks within the agreed-upon budget and schedule.
- Prepare reports and presentations as directed by senior engineers.
- Follow company standards and procedures including design and checking.
- Preparing all the necessary drawings for the specific phase of projects (reports, 2D plans, schematics, equipment sections and elevations, connection details, schedules etc.).
Qualifications & Experience:
Mandatory:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical/sanitary/civil engineering.
- Medium knowledge of design software (e.g., AutoCAD) and calculation software.
- Medium English language skills.
- Eager to learn new capabilities and skills.
- Medium knowledge of ASME standards.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in hydraulics design for process equipment. Experience in buildings (HVAC, Plumbing and Drainage, Fire Protection), system integrators and manufacturing may also be considered.
- Candidate to have problem solving skills, creativity, to show proactivity and analytical skills.
- Good planning, organizational, and communication skills are necessary for success in this position.

- Technical and quality focus.
Nice to have:

WPPI is seeking an experienced Senior Solar PV System Design Engineer to lead the design and implementation of solar PV projects, ensuring high technical standards and supporting the delivery of reliable and sustainable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Engineering:
- Manage the end-to-end design of on-grid rooftop solar PV systems (with or without energy storage), including the preparation and validation of technical drawings, schematics, layouts, and bills of materials; ensure cost efficiency by utilizing appropriate engineering tools, and maintain compliance with applicable codes and international standards
- Monitor and supervise the construction of solar PV system projects to ensure compliance with approved designs, quality standards, applicable regulations, project timelines, budgets, and established SOPs.
- Assist in the design of generation and distribution components of microgrid and off-grid hybrid power systems.
- Research latest energy technologies, tools and equipment to guide design choices and procurement decisions for ongoing and future projects.
System Performance Analysis & Design Optimization:
- Analyse performance data to identify trends and opportunities for optimization. Translate findings into general design guidelines and technical standards aimed at improving system efficiency, reliability, and integration with system requirements.
- Develop and implement procedures, tools, and alert mechanisms for monitoring the performance of solar PV systems, enabling timely detection of anomalies or external impacts and supporting the planning of appropriate technical interventions and design or operational adjustments.
Task Coordination:
- Coordinate tasks and resources within the engineering team and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of accurate and complete project deliverables, including proposals, technical drawings, and equipment specifications.
- Support the development of workflows and procedures to enhance design quality and cost estimation accuracy, while monitoring progress and reporting deviations. Provide regular performance updates to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
The candidate would possess the following capabilities and qualifications:
- Education: Minimum of a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering; preferably with a specialization in power system engineering, including transmission and distribution networks;
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in engineering, supplemented with product knowledge and field-work in solar PV projects or other energy projects;
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in PV Sol, ETAP, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications;
