- Negotiates and coordinates with clients especially during kick-off meetings to establish clear and complete project contract, requirements, standards, and specifications.

- Can prepare drawings such as Process Flow Diagram, Utility Flow Diagram, Piping and Instrument Diagram.
- Can perform heat and material balance calculations and hydraulic calculations.

- Can prepare Equipment, Instrument and Piping Process Data Sheets.
Qualifications:
- Must be graduate of BS Chemical Engineering or related course.
- At least eight (8) to fourteen (14) years' experience in process engineering design works gained in an oil & gas or related industry.
- Acts as Project Lead Engineer for medium and large scale and critical (in terms of budget, schedule, etc.) projects. Responsible for the preparation and implementation of the Department Project Execution Plan to ensure successful completion of projects assigned.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for all Structural/Geotechnical/Coastal design, design review and construction audit activities required to meet project requirements and performance specifications, including design submissions with endorsements to respective stakeholders as part of the internal design and quality control process.
- Coordinate with teammates in design / construction management / project control team on design activities to facilitates the construction works progress.
- Perform and review engineering design and analyses for soil improvement, coastal protection, and temporary construction works. Conduct and verify relevant design checks, such as compaction trials and field tests, to ensure that performance requirements are achieved.
- Perform complex geotechnical analyses and provide solutions to address new issues and identified problems as needed.
- Ensure all designs are prepared in accordance with the Design Process Plan and standards issued by SMEC, including British Standards or European Codes, ASTM, and relevant Philippine design codes and specifications for civil engineering, infrastructure, and marine and coastal works.
- Monitor and coordinate with GI and structural/geotechnical/coastal works Contractors to update site progress and data. Review the relevant reports including contractor submission and provide necessary geotechnical assessments based on site progress and data as required by the Employer.
- Effectively coordinate with the design, QA/QC, construction management, and project control teams on design-related matters and activities to support construction planning, progress, and timelines. Provide assistance as needed.
- Be able to liaise with Client, Contractor and government authorities independently during the design process and ensure client requirements are clearly identified and addressed.
- Interface with other design teams to handle design submissions and technical queries, ensuring cohesive project development.
- Prepare technical documents and letters related to design and site issues, and coordinate with construction management, project control, and contractual administration teams for immediate resolution.
- Provide design support (where applicable) for C&S engineering and geotechnical design and analysis for land reclamation and coastal structures including shoreline protection revetment, for both local and international projects.
- Provide clear and concise reports related to the design, and in accordance with the Client requirements.
- Prepare design workshop or technical seminars.
- Review and check CAD and drafting outputs in relation to Structural/Geotechnical/Coastal design.
- Review and assist preparation of Drawings, Specifications, Bills of Quantities and Tender document.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor/master's degree in civil engineering from recognised and reputable university
- Minimum three (3) years of relevant civil or geotechnical engineering experience in large scale infrastructure/reclamation projects
- Possess the skill, knowledge and ability to manage and co-ordinate all the design activities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Team player and able to multi-task
- Discipline, self-motivated and resourceful
- Experience in seismic design and/or contract administration will be advantageous
- Well-versed in Microsoft Office Suite of Software (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc)
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD and GeoStudio Software Suite
- Familiarity with Civil 3D, Settle 3D, Plaxis and other design software in civil/geotechnical is advantageous.
- Ability to work on tight deadlines.
