The ideal candidate will have strong technical experience in plant design, piping layouts, and integration of point cloud data into engineering workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and review 3D models, piping layouts, and detailed design deliverables using SmartPlant 3D (S3D).
• Utilize TruView point cloud scans and Average Point Cloud Manager for model integration, clash detection, and verification of as-built conditions.
• Create and update design drawings, isometrics, and schematics using Microstation (SE/J/V8) and AutoCAD Plant 3D.
• Interpret engineering specifications, project requirements, and industry standards to produce accurate and compliant designs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, structural, electrical, instrumentation) to ensure project alignment.
• Support design reviews, resolve technical issues, and provide input for construction and procurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or related discipline).
• Minimum 5+ years of design experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, industrial, or related sectors.

In terms of design, the main focus of this role is in the structural design of the projects. During construction, this role checks and verifies any discrepancies between the plans and budget and the actual construction and create reports as needed. JOB SUMMARY

The On-Site Design Officer is responsible for overseeing design related aspects of construction projects directly at the site. This role ensures that the design intent is accurately implemented, coordinates with contractors and consultants, and resolves design issues during construction. The architect/engineer acts as a bridge between design and execution, maintaining quality, compliance, and timely delivery.

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Design Implementation & Oversight

a. Ensure architectural/engineering plans and specifications are correctly interpreted and executed on-site.

b. Monitor construction activities to verify alignment with approved drawings and design intent.

c. Provide, review and approve all necessary site drawings including but not limited to Shop drawings, spot details (RFA/RFI).

d. Conduct regular inspections and site walks to assess progress and quality.

1. Coordination & Communication

a. Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve design-related issues.

f. Conducts spot checking and examine/evaluate the quality of installations to maintain compliance with construction standards and specifications.

g. Check the testing and sampling of materials and ascertain that all samples requiring testing area are properly done, recorded and reported.
