About the Role

About the Role
Fig Advisory is seeking an Operations Manager - Payroll & Compliance to lead our critical transition of 50 contractors to compliant employee status and establish sustainable operational systems in our Manila office. In this full-time role, you will drive operational excellence while building the compliance infrastructure that supports our Australian clients.

What You'll Be Doing- Lead the 90-day contractor-to-employee transition - manage the complete transformation of 50 independent contractors to compliant Philippine employees

Job Summary
The Payroll Tax Specialist position is responsible for assistance in the creation of accurate and timely payroll tax filing and applicable tax-related record keeping for Fourth and its clients. Duties include daily tax payments and filings for all clients. This position also formulates federal, and state regulatory departmental responses and other miscellaneous tasks related to Tax and compliance reporting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis for a multi-state corporation and ensure timely payments and filings. Filing of Quarterly and Annual tax forms to agencies.
- Prepares daily import reconciliations from payroll system to tax payment system.
- Reviews payroll records for accuracy and to ensure the reported payroll data reconciles to state and federal withholding returns.
- Experience with reconciliations, balancing and multistate payroll system reports to 941's W-2s, W2C's, and state filings.
- Works within established deadlines and schedules.
- Works with other team members on established projects and initiatives.
- Research payroll tax issues and participates in the resolution.
- Participates in team projects that are a high priority, as communicated by the Manager.
- Offers support to others with intent to minimize input errors.
- Reads and understands all corporate policies, work procedures and instructions.
- Assumes other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years relevant experience in payroll tax filing that would provide a basic knowledge of activities, policies, and procedures
