Job Objective:
The Project Engineer 1 supports the Project Services and Sales teams by preparing detailed quotes and proposals based on existing templates and customer requirements. This role involves performing bill of materials (BOM) resolution, quantity take-offs, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of project documentation. The Project Engineer 1 is also responsible for conducting basic technical evaluations, identifying potential discrepancies in project specifications, and collaborating with internal teams to address technical queries. Additionally, the role requires maintaining organized records of project deliverables and contributing to the continuous improvement of proposal and quoting processes.
Main Duties:
**1. Pre-Sales Support**
a. Collaborate with Sales team and senior project engineers to understand and quantify customer requirements.
b. Participate in pre-sales meetings under guidance of senior team members.
c. Respond to functional and technical elements of RFI/RFP requests.
d. Support Senior Project Engineers in crafting technical portions of proposal scopes.
**2. Research and Quoting**
a **.** Research options and request quotes for outsourced components or custom products.
b. Assist in determining project specifications through analysis of product design and requirements. c. Study performance standards and customer requirements to ensure accurate quoting.
**3. Project Execution Support**
a. Provide technical support during pilot implementation and evaluation.
b. Assist in training field resources on basic technical aspects.
c. Support document handover and training sessions for support groups.
**4. Documentation and Process Improvement**
a. Assist in developing and maintaining Project Services forms and documents.
b. Support the creation and updating of survey forms, drawings, and commissioning forms. c. Collaborate with Field Services to gather feedback on implementations.
**5. Customer and Sales Support**
a. Answer basic internal and external technical questions.
b. Provide technical input to sales teams for strategy development.
**6. Documentation**
a. Document all necessary instructions per functions.
b. Maintain and update existing documentation.
c. Support process improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
**7. Additional Functions**
a. Log all activities regularly in QuickBase or iTime.
b. Maintain accurate records of time spent on projects and tasks.
c. Support administrative tasks as needed.

Under the supervision of the Project / Maintenance Manager, the Marine Electrician is responsible for coordinating and executing repairs, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on including, but not limited to, indoor lighting systems; electrical systems and apparatus; main power distribution systems and panel boards; outdoor facility lighting; construction projects and HVAC systems, including on ships / vessels. Responsibilities
Major Job Activities:
+ Installs conduit to bulkheads with brackets and screws, using hand tools, and threads wires through conduit to terminals, for example connection boxes, circuit breakers, voltage regulators, and switch panels.
+ Performs maintenance and repair of generators, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, electrical motors, distribution panels, alarm and lighting circuits. Examine electrical system of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, like ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, to confirm compatibility of system.
+ Installs and alters electrical systems aboard ships.
+ Strips insulation from wire ends and solders ends to terminals, using stripping pliers and soldering iron. Connects power-supply circuits to radio, radar, sonar, fire control, and other electronic equipment. Place passage pipes, or tubing, within selected partitions, walls, or alternative hidden areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the passage to finish circuits between boxes.
+ Tests electrical characteristics, for example, voltage, resistance, and phase angle, in circuits, using voltmeters, ohmmeters, and phase rotation indicators.
+ Troubleshoots electrical equipment and circuits using appropriate test equipment to detect and perform required maintenance, repairs, or replacement requirements.
+ Maintains adequate inventories of electrical spare parts and requisitions replacements as required.
+ Understands the use of all tools of the electrical trade and expected to accomplish more complex tasks associated with electrical installation of cable, connectors, panel box, and power terminations, etc.

Education:

+ Ability to read blueprints. Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment.
+ Individual must have a keen attention to detail and be quality metric driven. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
+ Preferred: Successful completion of Navy "A" School or successful completion of a Shipyard or commercial Electrical apprenticeship program.

+ Performance of enhanced organizational level corrective and preventative maintenance on a wide range of tactical vessels / ships / boats / craft, and all types of vessel assemblies, systems and subsystems.
+ Repair or replace distillation plants, propulsion systems, generators, pumps, boilers, turbine engines, piping, hydraulics, air conditioning, steering control, valves, and fuel water testing.
+ Performance of corrective and preventative maintenance on outboard engines, marine engineering systems, water jet propulsion systems,
+ Management of boats, repair parts, tools, and ancillary equipment.
+ Maintain electronic service records and repair part inventories.
+ Operation of overhead cranes, forklifts, vehicle lifts, oil / water separators, air compressors, generators, and related equipment.
+ Conduct condition-based maintenance assessment of diesel and/or turbine engines.
+ Provide technical assistance, assessments / inspections as required
+ Assist with equipment grooms.
+ Observe / conduct cold / hot checks of equipment, note condition and parameters for any out of specification readings or settings. Conduct sea trials with vessels / ships / boats, as required.
+ Assist with the identification of parts and material needed to return equipment back to manufactures specifications.
+ Provide written briefs and reports as required.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
Material & Equipment Directly Used:
+ Requires intermediate to advanced knowledge and fluency of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
+ Strong analytical skills.
Working Environment & Physical Activities:
+ Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions.
+ Subject to both environmental conditions occurring inside and outside.
+ The worker is subject to noise and hazards to include a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
+ Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
+ Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
+ Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
+ Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
Qualifications
Education:
One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education if degree is required.
+ High School Diploma
Experience:
+ Must be a Marine Mechanic with a minimum of 10 years relevant experience working in ship repair onboard US Navy or US Coast Guard ships (technical education may be substituted for a portion of the experience requirement)
+ Individual must have a keen attention to detail and be quality metric driven. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Preferred:
+ Experience in development of mechanical work packages.
+ Previous FMS experience.
+ HVAC and Outside Machinist skills including chill water and fire pumps.
Other Requirements:
+ Must be a U.S. Citizen
+ Current U.S. Passport with a minimum of 1 year prior to expiration and 3 blank pages
+ A valid Driver's License is required for this position in the Philippines.

+ Must have basic computer skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple job sites and priorities.
+ Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator.
