Responsible for optimizing short to long-term mining activities, ensuring efficient production, and addressing operational challenges to meet long-term goals.
Major Job Functions:
- Prepares long term mine plans based on ore reserve models, existing pit designs, survey progress, geological characteristics and equipment capacity.
- Improves and modify long-term mine plans to ensure operational goals and production targets are met.
- Collaborate with various departments to align long-term plans with overall mine strategy.
- Oversee monthly, yearly and life-of-mine production schedules, considering equipment availability, workforce capacity, and ore quality.
- Monitor and adjust plans to address unforeseen challenges or changes in operational conditions.
- Analyze real-time data on mining operations, equipment performance, and ore quality to make informed decisions.
- Work closely with mining engineers to integrate short-term plans with long-term strategies.
- Prioritize and enforce safety protocols in daily mine planning activities.

- Licensed Mining Engineer
