PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Patient Intake and Registration:

- Room Preparation:
Sets up examination rooms with necessary equipment and supplies, ensuring cleanliness, and maintaining a welcoming environment for patients.
- Support during Procedures:
Assists healthcare providers during minor procedures or examinations by providing necessary equipment, patient positioning and offering reassurance and comfort.
- Patient Education:
Provides basic information to patients about their conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow up instructions as directed by healthcare providers. Offers basic health education to patients, explaining procedures, treatments, and medications prescribed by the healthcare provider, as well providing instructions for follow-up care and self-management of conditions.
- Medical Equipment Handling:
Ensures that medical equipment and instruments are properly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained according to established protocols to prevent infections and ensure patient safety.
- Inventory Management:
Keeps track of medical supplies and equipment in the OPD, ensures adequate stock levels, and reporting any shortages or issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Safety and Hygiene:
Adheres strictly to infection control protocols, maintains cleanliness in patient areas and promotes safe environment for patients and staff to minimize the risk of healthcare-associated infections.
- Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborates with other members of the healthcare team, including nurses, physicians, and administrative staff to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient care activities.
