This is a key leadership position within the Technology department who is expected to participate in consultation with key stakeholders, business partners, and technical colleagues to develop and deliver cost effective network & infrastructure services to the business units with a high focus on reliability, security, and standards.
**Responsibilities**:
Network Admin & Infrastructure
- Provide strategic leadership, direction, and guidance to the Network & Infrastructure Services teams. Operational responsibility for logical and physical design of the enterprise network, including routers, switches, firewalls, VLANs, IP space, Internet connectivity, and wireless networks.
- Ensure the provision of comprehensive, integrated, reliable, high-quality services in areas such as backbone and local area networking, network facilities and infrastructure, Internet access, high-performance networking, network security, and remote access.
- Develop and manage a budget for lifecycle management and continuous network and infrastructure modernization along with overseeing 3rd Party Managed Service Contracts.
- Maintain currency on new technologies and platforms, and provide recommendations on which emerging infrastructure technologies should be introduced, integrated, and assimilated within Infrastructure & Operations.
- Manage the portfolio of infrastructure assets and services from purchase or adoption through retirement company's technology infrastructure capital and operating budgets.
- Develop and implement the company’s disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Analyze the complex network environments and identify risks and mitigation strategies across the enterprise.
- Partner with stakeholders to map the needs of the business (or business needs) identified by customers to detailed technical requirements for network infrastructure and services.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, documentation, technical KPIs and SLAs for network, infrastructure and telecommunications services portfolio.
- Ensure network security and compliance are at the forefront of deployed solutions.
Service Delivery/Operations Support
- Oversee the administration and maintenance of the company's infrastructure, and direct IT team members and/or external vendors.
- SLAs review to drive accountability and exceed department’s operational demands.
- Accountable for the day-to-day management and operational aspect of the network & infrastructure, ensuring maximum uptime, high performance and stable environment.
- Regular and timely review of the infrastructure, covering but not limited to security, capacity management, backups and disaster recovery and topology reviews.
- Support the team and customers in scope on IT technical issues by identifying root cause and providing resolution.
- Work with all relevant parties to identify IT process gaps, implements improved processes ensuring sustainable and robust framework for MDSCSI’s product/services implementations.
- Prepare and present network, infrastructure and systems operational report covering key project status, performance of infrastructure, key escalations and issues.
- Timely communication to internal stakeholders on planned outages, unplanned outages, customer escalations and other IT operational matters as required.
**Requirements & Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Sciences, Engineering or any related courses. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Have at least ten (10) or more years of experience with running and managing network engineering, telecommunications, and systems administration.
- Ten (10) years of progressive leadership responsibilities
- Must have strong cross-functional leadership and personal skills, as well as substantial technical experience and expertise in network architecture, planning, engineering, and operations across a large complex environment.
- Must be committed to the highest levels of customer service, as well as following industry standards for service delivery (i.e., ITIL, CCNP, CCNA, WCNA, AWS Certified Networking ).
- Strong leadership skills with a high commitment to customer service.
- Ability to communicate a vision that inspires and motivates staff and aligns to the IT and business strategy.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a plan that ensures that the right people are in the right roles, and that employees are highly engaged and satisfied.

Key Skills And Experience
Skills and Qualifications:

- A strong knowledge in the fundamentals of Network Infrastructure (i.e; IP, Optics, Fixed Network) Solutions is preferred
- Proven expertise in telecom vendor leadership through effective management of complex services and projects, including people, processes and deliverables
- Interprets and translates internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to promote Network Infrastructure Solutions and Services
- Business development and sales skills as evidenced by prior success in maintaining and growing revenues for telecom equipment and associated services
- Functional domain knowledge in wireless or wireline. Must have a broad understanding of the business drivers and the challenges, opportunities and competitive landscape in the industry.
- Relationship management with client EVP/VP-level executives, partners, internal corporate executives and staff
- Writing proposals and presentations, and contract management skills including negotiation of deliverables and terms & conditions.
- Experience in creating and negotiating contracts
- Outstanding written and oral communications skills
- An undergraduate degree is required
