Role Purpose:

We are currently looking for a highly motivated and capable individual to provide advanced network technical services to our customer base across Australia and New Zealand, working from home and our Ortigas and/or Alabang offices.

Desired Skills:

To perform this role, we are seeking most of the following experience:

• 5+ years' Network Administration experience, preferably within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or IT outsourcing environment.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools.
• Proven hands-on experience with enterprise networking technologies and solutions from vendors such as Fortinet, Cisco, Cisco Meraki, Unifi, Aruba, and Palo Alto.
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, wireless networking, firewall configuration, SD-WAN technologies, and advanced network security best practices.
• Cisco CCNA Routing and Switching certification.
• Other Aruba, Cisco or Fortinet NSE Certifications would be highly valued.
• Experience with SolarWinds Orion and NCM or other monitoring and automation services.
• Experience working with an IT outsourcer or Managed Service Provider.
• Experience working in client-facing roles, providing technical expertise, documentation, and support to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

Duties:

As a Networking Technician, you are responsible for the management and support of Network technology and associated basic project delivery for First Focus in line with the strategic direction of the business

Requirements:

• Support scalable, secure, and highly available network infrastructures for both First Focus and its diverse client base.
• Collaborate as part of a high-performing Network Engineering team to deliver network solutions that align with client objectives, business needs, and strict SLAs.
• Support the deployment and configuration of enterprise networking technologies including routing, switching, wireless, and firewalls across multi-vendor environments.
• Provide proactive operational network management, monitoring, and optimization for client networks to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network and service issues, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient resolution.
• Configure, install, and maintain a variety of network devices and services (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, QoS, SD-WAN, etc.).
• Perform routine network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configuration updates via both automation via Solarwinds Orion NCM and manually.

Job Summary

The Network Technician at Wilson Works Trading Inc. plays a key role in supporting the installation, configuration, and maintenance of structured network systems for government, commercial, and infrastructure projects. This includes setting up wired and wireless networks, IP-based CCTV systems, access control, and smart city surveillance infrastructure. The technician ensures all network components function efficiently and securely across multiple sites, and provides on-site support during project deployment and maintenance phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and testing of network equipment, including switches, routers, firewalls, NVRs, servers, access points, and structured cabling.
• Perform network troubleshooting and maintenance for IP CCTV, control room systems, and smart infrastructure networks.
• Support the deployment of fiber optic, Cat6, and PoE cabling for field devices, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings and network topology plans.
• Conduct site surveys, signal tests, and network diagnostics to verify performance and stability.
• Collaborate with the Project Engineer and System Integrator to ensure all network components meet project specifications.
• Configure and maintain LAN/WAN, VPN, and VLAN setups for secure communication between field devices and command centers.
• Monitor network performance, update firmware, and perform preventive maintenance on active components.
• Prepare documentation, including IP addressing schemes, port mapping, and as-built network diagrams.
• Provide technical assistance to the installation team and clients during system handover and troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with data protection, cybersecurity, and industry standards during all installations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Technical Diploma in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Information Technology.
• At least 2 years of experience in network setup, structured cabling, or surveillance system integration.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, IP addressing, and network protocols.
• Knowledge in CCTV network architecture, NVR setup, and remote viewing configurations.
• Ability to read technical drawings, network schematics, and as-built plans.
• Willingness to travel to project sites within Metro Manila and nearby provinces.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
