Job summary: The merchandising specialist is responsible for the achievement of the department’s operational objectives with respect to Merchandising, Product Sourcing and Development, and coordination in relation to the importation of merchandise requirements. br>Job responsibilities:
Importation & Negotiations:
• Communicates and negotiates with the agent/suppliers’ queries for existing and/or new products as required by the Corporate Sales group.
• repares all importation requests as per confirmed Order Sheet for approval by higher management and eventual processing with the respective departments. < r>Order monitoring:
• M nitors and follow up all incoming order shipments with the agent/suppliers and the purchasing department with regards to consolidation of priority orders, expected arrival at port of destination and to final destination. < r>Reportorial requirements:
• P epares all importation summaries and other pertinent date with respect to incoming orders. < r>• P epares advisory information sheets/flyers for posting to all concerned of incoming shipments as to expected arrival at warehouse, quantities and other pertinent details. < r>Brand management:
• P epares reports, summaries, data relative to the respective product categories in as far as sales per month, sales per product category, sales per account executive, sales versus budget, and other pertinent data in line with the annual marketing plans and programs. < r>• M nitors sales of new products and evaluates its performance. < r>• S rveys the market on existing trends in terms of features, price, design/styles functions, in order to recommend any future new merchandise with the coordination of the Corporate Sales group. < r>Pricing:
• M nitors and analyzes pricing with respect to competition, its price competitiveness, positioning within assigned categories and continuously identify opportunities for enhancing margins and profits thru price adjustments or product changes. < r>• U dates costs of regular SKUs/ Raw materials every two (2) months or whenever market conditions change due to foreign currency movements, raw materials price inreases/decreases, and/or other import related factors. < r>Marketing communication:
• H ndles marketing communication mediums (website and social media accounts, corporate giveaways) applicable to the respective product categories. < r>
Job qualifications:
• G aduate course in Industrial Engineering/marketing/business admin < r>• W rk experience for a minimum of 1-2 years < r>• K owledgeable in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint – computer literate
• B sic technical knowledge (an advantage but not necessary) i.e : measurements reading, technical info < r>• W lling to learn and keen to details < r>• W th design sense < r>• W lling to work in Sauyo, Novaliches QC (near Mindanao Ave)

**Duties and Responsibilities**
The Product Merchandising Specialist:
1. Collaborates with the Head of Merchandising for the development of strategies and is in charge of the execution and fulfilment of these.
2. Is responsible for the overall profitability of a specific product category.
3. Conducts forecasting initiatives to ensure healthy supply lines for the business units, through regular coordination with local and international procurement teams.
4. Assists in the development and execution of programs for assigned category
5. Grows existing and emerging markets through horizontal expansion and new initiatives
6. Runs regular reports and analyses the data to monitor the movement of the company and the industry as a whole
7. Conducts client research/interviews and industry research to support the department’s initiatives
8. Initiates price audit/programs and interacts with sales teams and their clients on a regular basis
