The Merchandiser Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the overall merchandising operations across assigned regions/stores. The role ensures proper product visibility, stock availability, and compliance with client standards in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry, while leading and developing a team of merchandisers and coordinators to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, supervise, and provide direction to Merchandiser Coordinators and Merchandisers.
- Develop and implement merchandising strategies aligned with client requirements and sales goals.
- Ensure proper product placement, visibility, stock rotation, and promotional execution in all assigned outlets.
- Monitor sales trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to optimize merchandising plans.
- Conduct regular store visits and audits to evaluate merchandising standards and performance.
- Coordinate with clients, store management, and internal departments to address operational concerns.
- Prepare, analyze, and submit reports on sales performance, merchandising activities, and manpower deployment.
- Recruit, train, and evaluate merchandising staff to ensure high performance and compliance with company policies.
- Manage schedules, deployment, and resources to maximize efficiency and coverage.
- Handle escalations and resolve issues related to store operations, staff performance, or client requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in merchandising operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role in FMCG.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Solid knowledge of FMCG merchandising standards, product handling, and retail operations.
- Analytical and results-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Willing to travel or be assigned across regions/stores.
