The role
We're looking for a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Systems & Facility Development Engineer to manage the maintenance, inspection, and operational efficiency of our storage tanks and mechanical systems used for liquid raw materials like sorbitol. This role is critical for ensuring equipment reliability, structural integrity, and safe material handling .
Your Responsibilities:
- Monitor, inspect, and evaluate the structural integrity and functionality of storage tanks, pipelines, valves, and related mechanical systems .
- Schedule and conduct routine preventive maintenance, cleaning, and repairs of storage tanks, pumps, compressors, and other warehouse mechanical equipment.
- Supervise and perform minor fabrication, welding, or construction tasks related to mechanical modifications or infrastructure upgrades.
- Ensure strict compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, and internal safety protocols related to liquid raw materials.
- Participate in safety audits and risk assessments for mechanical and structural systems within the warehouse.
- Collaborate with warehouse, production, and logistics teams to coordinate operations without interrupting supply chain flow .
- Support and improve systems for tank level monitoring, pressure/temperature control, and emergency shutoff mechanisms.
- Maintain proper labeling, signage, and hazard identification around tanks and equipment areas.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues related to pumps, valves, agitators, and piping systems.
- Respond to equipment failures and support corrective actions to minimize downtime .
- Assist in the planning, design, and execution of warehouse facility upgrades and expansions involving mechanical or tank systems.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and third-party inspectors for construction or repair work.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, tank cleaning schedules, and incident reports.
- Prepare technical reports, maintenance logs, and performance evaluations of mechanical systems.
- Monitor spare parts inventory for mechanical components and initiate procurement of tools, parts, or consumables.
- Support inventory control by accurately recording tank levels and material usage, and investigating discrepancies.
What we're looking for:
- Graduate of Mechanical Engineering or Construction Engineering from a recognized university.
- Licensed Mechanical Engineer (preferred but not strictly required).
- Minimum of 5 years of solid experience in vegetable oil refineries or similar process manufacturing facilities here in the Philippines.
- Strong background in industrial warehouse systems , including tank farms , piping , utility systems (e.g., water, air, steam), and mechanical infrastructure .
- Experience in project execution , including mechanical construction, equipment installation, and commissioning.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings , and technical specifications .
- Familiarity with industry standards (ASME, API, etc.) and local safety and environmental regulations .
- Hands-on experience with preventive and corrective maintenance of storage tanks, pumps, pipelines, and warehouse utility equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues in a fast-paced warehouse or refinery setting.
- Experience coordinating with contractors , vendors , and cross-functional teams for construction, maintenance, and warehouse improvement projects.
- Proficiency in CAD or other design software is a plus.
- Preferably from the food manufacturing industry

Job Summary:
The Test and Systems Mechanical Development Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cost- effective test jigs and fixtures for products in mass production. Mechanical assemblies should guarantee the product performance according to specifications and within the desired level of quality and reliability. He or she will help the production in all of its mechanical needs and provide innovation to current manufacturing processes.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Takes part in the conceptualization and design of the test system (Hardware and Software)
- Designs and develops test mechanical assemblies, including but not limited to, test jigs, test fixture, probe plates, etc.
- Designs and develops process jigs and fixtures
- Ensures that the test system, hardware modules are built according to provided test system and hardware module documentation and tester specification
- Ensures that the mechanical design is easy to service by TSDE and production engineers as well as safe for the operators and users
- Analyzes and qualifies fabricated mechanical assemblies from supplier/fabricator and takes part in the jigs/fixture/rack verification and validation
- Integrates mechanical components during integration phase and makes sure the mechanical assemblies is functional according to test specification
- Generates documents indicated as deliverables in the deliverable checklist (i.e. mechanical BOM, mechanical drawings and diagrams, mechanical fixture buy-off report, troubleshooting guide etc.)
- Sets-up the test system during transfer phase and provides technical support during the test process validation phase
- Reads and interprets gerber and mechanical CAD files from customer and use it as a reference in mechanical fixture and jig design
- Spearheads technical communication with the mechanical supplier/fabricator
- Determines the system's critical spare parts in terms of mechanical assemblies
- Participates in endorsement activities such as MSA and operation training
- Supports production team in troubleshooting and debugging test systems issues
- Assists production team on their test and process automation or any mechanical needs
- Provides innovative solutions to current manufacturing processes
- Provides mechanical technical support to production especially on test and automation to ensure on-time delivery of finished products
Qualifications:
- Graduate of BS Computer Engineering, BS Mechanical Engineering or any related course
- At least 2 years of experience in Mechanical Design
- Experience in using mechanical design CAD software such as creo, inventor, etc.
- Background in mechanical design of test jigs, fixture, and rack
- Experience in designing test mechanical assemblies with pogo pins such as probe plates
- Background in designing mechanical concepts with engaging UUT to precisely secure pogo pin-to-test point contact
- Experience in designing mechanical jig and fixture with automation either using pneumatic or electric actuators.
- Understands basic concepts of mechanical assembly fabrication
- Intermediate to excellent mechanical designing capabilities
- Can work in a fast-paced environment
- Can develop on a given time period with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills
- Good writing, presentation and reporting skills is an advantage
- Knowledgeable about project management Software such as Microsoft Project or Wrike
