QA Engineer

Location: Makati City

Must have: Manual Testing, API Testing

Key Technical Skills

• Experience in Manual Testing: Functional and Non-functional (nice to have)
• Experience in automation/scripting is a plus
• Strong understading of software development lifecycle methodology (e.g. Agile) and software testing methodologies (regression, smoke, exploratory.)
• Knowledgeable in testing API's (REST, SOAP), Back-end and Front-end testing
• Can work on both Windows and Linux environment
• Adaptable in using different tools for testing and reporting: JIRA, Xray (or equivalent Test management tool), Postman/Bruno/SOAP (or related API tool), Confluence.
• Bachelors / College degree in Engineering or equivalent courses
• Experience of more than 3 years as a QA Engineer/Software Test Engineer

• Ensure test runs and results within the given time frame.

Qualifications:

Job Role

• Responsible in the failure analysis of product that failed at testing equipment and provide analysis report
• Perform defect simulation in all testing equipment and identify undetectable defects
• Assist technicians in daily operations, monitoring and maintenance of all test equipment machines, jigs and fixtures
• Assist in expediting urgent items/results to prevent production downtime
• Facilitates and assists technicians in actual set-up or change model and troubleshooting of test equipment for maximum efficiency

Key Responsibilities…

As a
Test Engineer

, you will play a critical role within our major programme delivery team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Perform both static and dynamic electrical tests on a wide range of rotating plant, from LV to HV.
• Champion and lead by example a "Safety First" culture.
• Oversee and take responsibility for electrical test records and reports.
• Ensure quality standards through a "right first time" and "on time delivery" ethos.
• Maintain company brand standards across materials and working environments.
• Provide excellent customer service, including interacting with customers, responding to enquiries, and assisting with complaints when required.
• Take responsibility for equipment, tooling, and plant in your area, with a focus on continuous improvement and maintenance.

Your skills and experiences:

• BSc in Electrical Engineering (preferred).
• Relevant large rotating plant skills.
• Hands-on knowledge and experience in condition monitoring of rotating equipment.
• Extensive experience within the large rotating plant industry.
• Knowledge of motor and generator testing methods, including static and dynamic loading.
• Strong fault-finding skills (preferred).

What You'll Do

• Supervise, lead, manage, and provide technical assistance to the Test Engineering team which contributes to meeting the monthly commitment.
• Responsible in solving problem in line sustaining in the least possible time to meet desired machine uptime.
• In charge of related maintenance, LOTO, and machine guarding.
• Define and develop test processes and document this process so that manufacturing teams have guidance. Expected documents are SOP's & Test programs & Checklists.
• Ensure that ECO related to test requirements are properly implemented.
• Plan and execute corrective, preventive, predictive maintenance activities for the Testers.
• Set up Test Related Equipment, qualify it & deploy it to operations.

Qualifications

• Electronics or Electrical Engineering graduate or related courses with at least 5 years relevant experience. Power Supply and/or Uninterruptible Power Supply Industry background is preferred.
• Experienced in Final assembly and PCBA troubleshooting, testing, and analysis.
• Experienced in Machine commissioning, improvement, troubleshooting, and maintenance
• Experienced in one of the Test Program coding LabVIEW, LabVIEW Test Stand, VB6,
• Solid experience in Final Assembly and PCBA Production Test Support and Test Improvement
• Able to interpret and understand schematic diagrams.

Job Summary

The Test Engineer (Test Support Group) is responsible for checking/repairing of test machines. Also performs activities like test machine set-up, debugging, conversion, calibration check and request for customer approval for any program or limit change.

The Test Engineer (Test Analysis Group) is responsible for checking, analyzing and repairing non-conforming products at testing. Generates failure analysis guide and flowchart to ensure systematic approach to problems.

Qualifications:

• Must have earned a degree in BSEE, ECE, COE or equivalent.
• Good analytical skills
• Can read and understand schematic diagrams.
• Familiarity with electronic components and equipment.
• Knowledgeable in basic electronic theories.
• Technical writing skills, and knowledge in reading schematics diagram.
