Job Description
Seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable
Specialist-Maintenance Planning
who will be responsible in the maintenance planning of all equipment maintained by the department which includes the surface mobile and equipment, underground mobile and fixed plant equipment, communications and IT, and camp facilities equipment. The role will report to the Supervisor – Planning.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Planning and scheduling of all maintenance work through computerized maintenance management system-Pronto Xi, to ensure resources are prioritized in accordance with the maintenance strategy
• Ensure planned routine maintenance, non-routine maintenance, breakdowns, approved modifications are scheduled to be undertaken with minimum disruption to the mining operation
• Ensure that parts, equipment, materials and tooling are allocated to the correct job before work is placed on the weekly work schedule
• Prepare and issue weekly maintenance schedule to execution team, contractors and other affected department, monitors compliance to weekly schedules and general maintenance effectiveness
• Liaise closely with the Supply Department to ensure expediting of outstanding orders, a continuity of supply of all replacement parts and spares levelling strategies
• Support day to day functions of the whole section of Asset Management Department as required by the Planning Supervisor

Qualifications

• Behaviour consistent with OceanaGold Values and the OceanaGold Way
• Graduate of Engineering (i.e., Mechanical, Electrical, Civil), Licensed is an advantage
• Minimum of five (5) years in maintenance planner role; maintaining surface and/or underground equipment (e.g., light / heavy mobile equipment, pumping stations, underground ventilation fans, electric motors, electrical starters, etc.) or other related industry
• With a valid Professional Driver's License is an advantage
• Experience in maintaining Mobile Equipment Fleet, Fixed Plant Equipment, Communications, Automation and Camp facility equipment is highly regarded
• Preferably coming from Mining or related industry
• Knowledge in Computerized Maintenance Management System
• Experience in PRONTO is an advantage
• Understand Mobile Equipment, Mechanical and Electrical equipment installation, and general parts

Education & Certification

• At least a High School Diploma or Vocational/Technical Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, or related field.
• TESDA NC II/NC III or equivalent certification in Electrical Installation and Maintenance, Air-conditioning and Refrigeration, or similar (preferred but not mandatory).

Technical Skills

• Knowledge in repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of air-conditioning units.
• Ability to perform minor electrical works (wiring, lighting, outlets, circuit breakers).
• Familiarity with plumbing, carpentry, and other general facility maintenance is an advantage.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door or wall repair
• Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures
• Conduct regular checking of facilities (chiller, generator set, sewage, etc.)
• Assist during sample collection for waste water testing and treatment
• Assist during waste disposal activities (hazardous, residual, electronics, etc.)
• Working on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occurs
• Maintaining the building HVAC equipment in order to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly
• Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems, such as using a sealant on a flat roof
• Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational course is a plus.

At least 1–2 years of experience in facility or building maintenance.

Knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, air-conditioning, and basic carpentry.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Physically fit and able to lift heavy equipment when necessary.

Willing to work on shifting schedules or weekends, if required.
