Main Job Purpose
The primary role of Maintenance Lead is to direct and guide area engineers and maintenance technicians, so the team can perform their work assignments efficiently and in a safe manner. This includes ensuring technicians have the required training and skills to perform work that meets all appropriate standards. Maintenance Lead is also responsible for ensuring that the uptime of equipment and assets is adequate to meet production plans. The Maintenance Lead role will focus on elimination of breakdowns and maintenance of basic conditions through use of Focused Improvement and Quality improvement methods including implementation of countermeasures that simplify processes, utilize predictive / preventative maintenance effectively and introduce increased automation and controls.

Working directly with the line crews, maintenance team, and cross-functional teams the Maintenance Lead also acts in support of technical training for maintenance team and provides coaching in phenomena identification, root cause analysis and the establishment of countermeasures.

This role also has responsibility and support for preventative maintenance functions to improve reliability, efficiency and cost.

Key Accountabilities

• Use experience and expertise to coach and guide assigned work of Maintenance Technicians within expected timelines to the quality required

• Provide appropriate equipment and training to ensure safe working practices are upheld and environmental standards are adhered to.
• Eliminate Loss according to the UMS prioritization process using PM, FI and QC pillar tools and methodologies.
• Ensure equipment is available to meet production plans by applying the UMS PM Methodology.
• Validate standards applied by operators performing autonomous maintenance tasks and review with First Line Managers in production as necessary.
• Review entries in DMS for accuracy and timeliness and take action where required.
• Assess opportunities for continuous improvement in both preventive and predictive maintenance and build in to ongoing plans
• Implement preventative, predictive maintenance and design / automation improvements to maintain basic conditions and increase MTBF
• Identify and extend good practice to other lines.

WHAT THIS POSITION IS ABOUT - PURPOSE

• To ensure the Lines are not constrained due to the lack of technical capability or knowledge.
• To ensure all maintenance tasks are planned, organized and executed with the least effort at the best cost.

WHAT WILL YOU DO - RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review and prioritize SAP work orders and notifications within 24 hours of generation. The work order backlog is current, sorted for reporting and is managed to best meet the Compelling Business Need.
• Lead the review of the previous job completion results, other maintenance activities and today's plan in the Daily Meeting. Plans should be adjusted accordingly based upon scheduled work, scheduled work completion and break in work.
• Actively support and coordinate with Cell Lead, Process Lead & Line Team the planned stop, incorporating SAP work orders and maintenance tasks into the Plan
• Lead the scheduling of maintenance work for the next week during the Weekly Planning Meeting. Lead the scheduling of maintenance work in The Monthly Meeting to schedule maintenance work for the next month as dictated by the annual maintenance plan and previously identified work.
• Lead optimization with Cell Lead & Process Lead of startup and shutdown of Line and major maintenance interventions
• Ensure there vision and updating of "Maintenance Technical Documentation occurs as necessary. Create OPL's and train and qualify Line team in maintenance activities. Develop and update annual maintenance plan and calendar.
• Perform any other tasks commissioned by the supervisor. Compliance with EHS procedures, labour law, corporate guidance, internal regulations and work performance instructions.

Understand health and safety aspects of their work and learn about potential hazards, know and maintain required control measures in order to keep their workplace healthy and safe.

The TowerCo Passthrough and Maintenance Account Lead is responsible for managing the end-to-end processing and reconciliation of TowerCo passthrough charges and Maintenance Out-of-Scope (OOS) billing.
