Job Description: Logistics Helper

The Logistics Helper is responsible for assisting drivers and warehouse staff in the safe, accurate, and efficient handling of goods. This includes loading and unloading deliveries, organizing items in storage areas, and ensuring that materials are properly prepared for transport. The Logistics Helper supports overall logistics operations to meet delivery schedules and maintain customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in loading and unloading goods from delivery trucks or company vehicles.
• Ensure proper handling of items to avoid damage during transport.
• Organize, sort, and arrange goods in storage areas, warehouses, or vehicles.
• Verify and check delivery items against packing lists or waybills.
• Assist the driver in locating delivery sites and coordinating with recipients.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of vehicles, warehouses, and work areas.
• Follow company safety guidelines and procedures during operations.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned by the logistics supervisor or driver.

Qualifications:

• At least High school graduate (or equivalent).
• With or without related work experience; willing to be trained.
• Physically fit and able to carry, lift, and move heavy items.
• Basic knowledge of warehouse operations is an advantage.

Core Responsibilities

• Vehicle Operation:

Safely operate a company vehicle to transport goods, materials, or passengers to various locations.
- Vehicle Maintenance:

Conduct daily inspections for mechanical and safety issues, perform basic maintenance like checking fluids, and report any defects or required repairs.
- Logistics & Route Planning:

Plan and optimize efficient delivery routes, adhering to traffic laws, safety standards, and company policies to meet schedules.
- Loading & Unloading:

Supervise and assist in the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring they are properly secured and handled carefully, especially fragile or heavy items.
- Documentation:

Manage and update delivery records, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and logs of work periods.
- Compliance & Safety:

Strictly follow all company safety procedures, traffic rules, and regulatory requirements, including those related to vehicle weight and rest periods.
