The Software Testing Lead is responsible for enhancing the strategy, overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of software testing activities to ensure high-quality product delivery. This role involves managing a team of testers, developing test strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams and third party to meet enterprise testing goals. Moreover, this role manages the lifecycle and support of the Testing product suite, both the infrastructure and application layers.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

Test Strategy & Planning

• Establish test standards and governance process in alignment with key stakeholders
• Develop and manage comprehensive test strategies and plans
• Define scope, objectives, resources, and timelines for testing activities
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies
• Progress use of AI tools in test automation maturity

Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and manage QA/test engineers
• Oversees tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery
• Provide training and support to enhance team capabilities

Test Execution & Management

• Consulted on design, review, and execute test cases (manual and automated).
• Oversee functional, integration, regression, performance, and UAT testing.
• Track and manage defects using Tricentis tools.

Collaboration & Communication

• Regular engagement and alignment with ERP teams and the Digital Core Program
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback
• Report testing progress, metrics, and quality status to stakeholders

Process Improvement

• Evaluate and improve testing processes and tools
• Ensure adherence to QA standards and best practices
• Promote test automation and continuous integration practices

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience in software testing, and with at least 2 years in a lead role
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development environments
• Proficiency in test management and defect tracking tools
• Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG)

Preferred Certifications:

• ISTQB Certified Tester
• Certified Software Test Engineer (CSTE)
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
• ITIL Foundation
• ERP functional/technical

3.   Description of the Internship

a.

Familiar with the product being tested and learn some theoretical knowledge in testing

Learn to deliver tasks, including testing, logging new bugs and preparing test reports.

All functional modules tested will be explained one by one by tutors, and they answer questions in real time. The tutors arrange weekly meetings to review the content learned during the week and check for any gaps.

c.

Participate in delivery tasks. Conduct testing with the assistance of the tutors, create a new bug after discovering the issue, and finally send a test report according to the testing requirements.

4.   Supervision and Mentorship

a.
Throughout the internship process, each intern has a one-on-one mentor for guidance.

b.
The interns will report to the Project Manager from China and will be working side by side with the senior team members working in the Philippines.

c.
The team including the intern and Project Manager will have weekly meetings for progress review.

5.   Requirements and Qualifications

a.
National unified recruitment of bachelor's degree or above, computer related majors.

Good English reading, writing and oral communication skills.

6.   Compensation

200PHP to 400PHP one day, depending on length of the probation period and ability.

During each review, mentors and other personnel will evaluate the progress and modify personal training plans in real time based on the actual situation of the interns. The Quality Assurance Intern will support the QA team in ensuring that mobile and web-based applications meet established standards of quality, including accessibility, usability, user experience, design, and performance. The intern will work closely with teams of quality assurance specialists, developers, designers, and project managers in an agile work environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

● Manual Testing

• Execute pre-defined test cases across various functionalities and features on web/mobile apps
• Check UI, responsiveness, and behavior based on both website standards and the client's requirements
• Perform regression testing to ensure new changes haven't introduced defects into existing functionalities

● Bug Reporting

• Report bugs with clear steps to reproduce and descriptions, including screenshots or recordings
• Document and track software defects (bugs) in a clear, concise, and reproducible manner using bug tracking tools
• Conduct retesting of fixed bugs to verify their resolution

● Documentation

• Record test results in Google Sheets
• Assist in creating, updating, and maintaining test cases, test plans, and other QA documentation.

● Collaboration and Communication

• Actively participate in team meetings like daily stand-ups and client meetings to report progress, discuss issues, and understand new requirements
• Coordinate with developers, project managers, and other QA team members regarding bug details, test coverage, and project status

● Understanding Requirements

• Review and understand functional specifications, user stories, and design documents to grasp the intended behavior of the software
• Identify potential ambiguities or gaps in requirements that could lead to testing challenges

Qualifications

• Familiar with Software Development Cycle and QA Process
• Familiar with web and mobile apps
• Basic knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets for test documentation
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges
• Familiarity with using AI and automated testing is a plus

• Bachelor's degree in Food Technology or any science related course
• With various training/ seminars attended related to Quality Management and Food safety Management System (e.g. GMP, HACCP, Basic Food Safety, Servsafe)
• Very adept in GMP and Food processing practices
• Willing to train and supervise; can multi-task and adjust to manufacturing facility work environment
• Flexible on work hours and willing to do store visits
• Willingness to travel to Pampanga, Batangas, and other locations.
• Must be willing to work in Caniogan, Pasig
