Contract and Document Management
- Draft, review, and assist in negotiating standard contracts and agreements (e.g., loan agreements, NDAs, service contracts).
- Maintain and organize legal files, templates, and documentation for quick reference and audit readiness.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of legal documentation for clients and vendors.
Regulatory Compliance Support
- Assist in the preparation and filing of regulatory requirements with the SEC, BIR, AMLC, and other relevant agencies.
- Monitor and report on changes in relevant laws and regulations affecting the company.
- Support implementation of compliance-related policies (e.g., Data Privacy, AMLA, Corporate Governance).
Corporate Legal Support
- Maintain updated corporate records, such as board resolutions, minutes of meetings, articles of incorporation, and other corporate documents.
- Assist in the preparation of materials for Board and Management Committee meetings.
Legal Coordination
- Coordinate with external legal counsel on litigation, legal opinions, and regulatory queries.
- Ensure timely response and follow-up on legal matters involving third parties and regulatory bodies.
Policy Review and Internal Support
- Review internal policies for legal risk and recommend necessary revisions.
- Provide general legal support to different departments (HR, Operations, Finance, etc.) under the supervision of a licensed lawyer or senior manager.
JOB QUALIFICATION
Education:
- At least a 4th Year Law Student in good standing from a recognized law school in the Philippines.
- Law graduates (not yet taking or awaiting results of the Bar) are highly encouraged to apply.
Experience:
- At least 1-2 years of legal work experience in a corporate legal department, law firm, or regulatory agency preferred (internships or part-time work may be considered).
- Experience in the financial services or non-bank financial sector is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of basic legal concepts in contract law, corporate law, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Filipino.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with legal document management systems is a plus.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity.
