Key Duties and Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for finding all kind of land acquisition opportunities and managing the whole process of land acquisition. This position should be familiar with the whole process of land development not only land acquisition but also permitting requirements for developments. This position must be capable of analyzing the financial aspects of each development opportunity. In particular, the role is expected to perform the following:
- Develop/Continue relationships with land developers and landowners to obtain developed lots and raw land in targeted areas.
- Maintain close relationships with developers, city officials and landowners to identify raw land tracts for possible acquisition.
- Use discretion and independent judgment to identify and evaluate various alternatives for lot and land acquisition and make recommendations.

Overview
Land Acquisition Specialist is responsible for conducting drone surveys and generating high accuracy DEMs and orthomosaic to assess the site's topography, conducting site assessment and facilitating meetings with different stakeholders such as land agents and LGUs. He/She is also responsible in assisting the LA Manager in looking for land brokers, acquisition, checking, and plotting of property documents, and generating maps and KMZ files.
Key Accountabilities
- Perform planning and research related to drone survey
- Conduct reconnaissance and actual drone survey on site (DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise & LiDAR)
- Post process drone survey output to generate accurate orthomosaic, DEM, DTM, and point clouds that will be used to assess terrain
- Perform site inspections to assess the site based on different criteria (including but not limited to terrain, flood risk, landslide, soil, vegetation, built-ups, access, distance to NGCP, irrigation, environmental/social)
- Attend/Facilitate meetings with external stakeholders such as brokers, land agents, landowners, LGUs (barangay and municipal level), Government agencies
- Request for technical and legal documents from LGUs and Government agencies
- Assist the Land Acquisition Manager in:
- Looking for new sets of land brokers/agents using different platforms
- Establishing/Maintaining friendly but professional relationships with the external stakeholders
- Explaining Ib Vogt's Land Acquisition standards and requirements to external stakeholders
- Acquiring property and supporting documents from the external stakeholders
- Checking the technical (in depth) and legal aspects (initial) of all documents being provided
- Encoding and plotting technical descriptions indicated on the property documents
- Quality checking of the technical descriptions indicated on the property documents
- Generating a list or report for the technical summary of each site
- Digitizing lots based on georeferenced maps (cadastral/tax/vicinity map, sketch plans, etc)
- Assessing newly offered properties and providing findings to the team, internal and external stakeholders o Generating maps, CAD files, Shapefiles, and KMZ files
- Coordinating with internal stakeholders for the grid availability, terrain assessment, engineering design, internal cost analysis, legal due diligence, contract development, environmental and social risk, etc.
- Generating reports and presenting them to the higher management
- Generating mapping requirements for permitting and any land related concerns
- Quality checking of survey output of 3rd party contractors/consultants if necessary
- Coordinating with finance and admin department for any budget and admin-related activities
- Sign and seal mapping documents when necessary and if applicable (for licensed Geodetic Engineers)

Qualifications
- Graduate of BS in Geodetic Engineering (licensed) or any BS degree with GIS background (i.e. Geology, Geography, Forester, etc)
- With GIS background. Familiar with georeferencing and digitizing.
- With at least 1 year experience in piloting drones such as DJI Mavic and LiDAR and can post process output to generate required files such as orthophoto and Digital Terrain Model.
- Must be adept in using AutoCAD or any CAD software, QGIS and/or ArcGIS, Google Earth Pro, etc.
- Can travel and flexible with work hours.
- Able to work and interact with internal and external stakeholders. With excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
