About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Instyle Newgem Cosmetic Corporation as a full-time admin/Lab assistant staff. In this role, you will provide vital administrative and laboratory support to our busy cosmetics manufacturing operations in Quezon City, Metro Manila.

What you'll be doing

1. Provide general administrative assistance across the business, including filing, data entry, and other clerical duties
2. Assist with the organisation and inventory management of the company's laboratory and production supplies
3. Prepare samples, carry out basic laboratory testing, and support the product development team
4. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations
5. Adhere to all health, safety and quality control procedures in the lab and office environment
6. Offer flexible support across the team as needed

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience as an administrative assistant or lab assistant, ideally in the cosmetics /pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry
2. Strong organizational and multitasking skills with excellent attention to detail
3. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite and data management systems

Administrative Tasks:

• Prepare daily time records for third-party personnel.
• Handle requirements for business permit renewals.

Monitoring and Filing:

• Track QA documents (e.g., Certificates of Analysis, Product Performance Reports).
• Update databases for purchase orders, contracts, and payment requests.
• Monitor and update inventory (office supplies, chemicals, glassware).
• Record lab environmental conditions and equipment status.
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports (LLDA, DENR, PDEA).
• Safekeep confidential personnel files and contracts.

Processing and Coordination:

• Manage supplier relations and accreditation.
• Receive and file delivery documents (invoices, receipts, POs).
• Process payment requests and reimbursements.
• Prepare office supply and service requests.

Detailed Job Description:

1. Perform the quality test on soil and soil aggregates.
2. Perform the quality test on course and fine aggregates.
3. Conduct Field Density test by sand cone method and non-nuclear SDG.
4. Perform testing for fresh concrete, sampling, slump test, unit weight for yield of concrete.
5. Conduct compression / flexural test for hardened concrete.
6. Conduct testing for rebars, physical appearance, tensile and bending.
7. Prepared worksheet for every test conducted.
8. Finalized test reports after double checking by SLT, LIC or the technician itself.
9. Responsible to transmit properly test reports or other documents to the client's QC/QA head / engineers.
10. Responsible for the monthly physical inventory of Measuring & Testing Equipment (MTE)

and Calibration Schedule to be submitted to client's QA/QC head and XTSI main laboratory.

1. Prepare Daily & Weekly accomplishment reports and submit to laboratory head / manager regularly every week.
2. Responsible for the proper handling and maintenance of all laboratory equipment / apparatus in the laboratory.
3. Responsible to report any damages or defective equipment to the laboratory head / manager with supporting incident report and MTE Evaluation report.
4. Maintain 5S implementation in the whole laboratory.
5. Perform such other function as may be assigned to you by the company's management.
6. Continue study and learn other test procedures and specifications in ASTM, AASHTO and DPWH.

Files to be Maintained:

a) Perform molecular biology procedures including but not limited to sample preparation, blood separation, nucleic acid extraction, oral mucosal single-cell picking, SNP locus PCR amplification, Sanger sequencing, and next-generation sequencing (NGS) library construction and sequencing

b) Assist in basic data analysis, interpretation of sequencing results, and report preparation

c) Ensure accurate tracking and labeling of samples throughout the laboratory workflow

d) Perform quality control checks during all phases of the experiment to ensure accuracy and consistency

e) Maintain laboratory instruments and equipment, and monitor inventory of reagents, consumables, and supplies

f) Participate in validations and technical support for client samples and assist in on-site platform setup if required

g) Record and organize laboratory results, observations, and data in compliance with company protocols and confidentiality standards

h) Provide timely feedback on operational issues and customer-related concerns to the Senior Laboratory Technician

i) Support continuous improvements in laboratory processes by adhering to established protocols and safety standards

j) Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Laboratory Technician or Lab Manager

Job Requirements:

a) Bachelor's degree or above in Biology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, or a related field

b) Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in a molecular or clinical laboratory (NGS experience is an advantage)

c) Familiarity with molecular techniques such as PCR, nucleic acid extraction, and sequencing workflows

d) Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols accurately

e) Proficient in both Filipino and English; additional language skills are a plus

f) Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and equipment handling

g) Proactive, responsible, and capable of working both independently and in a team environment

h) Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction

Sample and in some cases analyze raw materials, packaging components, intermediates products, finished products, and stability products as per schedule and according to procedures and specifications with he guidance of the QC Laboratory Analyst.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Prepares Approved/Rejected Stickers and QC Form 008 (Notice of Release) / QC Form 009 (Notice of Rejection) on the result of the evaluation of the RM.

* Ensures that appropriate stickers are placed on the RM and Notices are forqarded to the concerned department.

* Prepare test solutions, media, standards, etc. according to the test methods.

* Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laboratory instruments and methods.

* Conduct monitoring processes in defined areas, including microbial air sampling, surface sampling and water sampling.

Job Summary

The Laboratory Technician supports road and bridge construction projects by conducting laboratory and field tests on construction materials such as soil, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and bituminous materials. The role ensures compliance with Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and other relevant standards to maintain the quality and integrity of infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform standardized laboratory and field tests on soil, aggregate, concrete, and asphalt as per DPWH, ASTM, or AASHTO standards.
• Conduct laboratory and field tests in accordance with ASTM, AASHTO, BS, or relevant local standards.
• Collect samples from field locations in accordance with proper sampling protocols.
• Prepare and maintain test reports and documentation for project compliance.
• Assist engineers in verifying materials conformance to project specifications.
• Maintain calibration and cleanliness of laboratory equipment.
• Follow all safety and quality protocols within the lab and field environments.
• Report non-conforming materials and suggest corrective actions.
• Participate in internal and external audits by DPWH or other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering, Construction Materials, or related technical field.
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in a construction materials laboratory, preferably on roads and bridges projects.
• Knowledgeable in test methods specified by DPWH Blue Book, ASTM, AASHTO, or BS standards.

• Familiarity with standard test methods such as:

• Soil: Proctor, Atterberg limits, CBR

• Aggregate: Gradation, specific gravity, Los Angeles abrasion
• Concrete: Slump test, compressive strength, air content
• Asphalt: Marshall stability, bitumen content, density tests
• Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures in civil infrastructure projects.
• Ability to work under pressure and in outdoor environments.
• Physically fit and capable of performing field work.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Basic computer skills (MS Excel, Word).
• Ability to work on-site in various environmental conditions.
