Job Description
Specific Responsibilities
- Registers client order- and sample information in the LIMS, with test method and specification assignment.
- Review documentation to ensure that all paperwork is properly filled out (report to/invoice to info, lot number verification, etc.)
- Contact the affiliate if required information is missing or inaccurate, including purchase orders, test clarifications.
- Rigorously follows the lab's internal SOPs related to sample management, login processes, and documentation.
- Validates accuracy of certain operational data in the LIMS; identify, reports the errors detected, perform changes in line with cGMP requirements, or follow-up correction, as assigned.
- Backup for Department review, in the future.
- Performs other tasks of administrative nature, in accordance with cGMP, as trained and as (re-)assigned by the Supervisor.
- Ensures the tasks assigned are accomplished in due time. In case of foreseeable delay, the GBS Team Coordinator (or section Lab Manager in their absence) is notified immediately.
- Adopts and supports specific operational improvement activities, as communicated by the GBS Supervisor, with focus on the improvement of quality and efficiency.
- Performs other related duties as may be assigned either in support of departmental goals or for his/her personal or professional training, education or development as programmed by his/her immediate superior.
- At all times, comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct and with all SGS QHSE and HR policies and procedures. Ensure the work area in GBS is always clean and presentable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required, strongly preferably in a scientific or technical area.
- Minimum 1-2 years working experience, preferably in laboratory setup. General knowledge of chemistry, analytical techniques and methodologies is an advantage.
- Demonstrated understanding of relevant GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) regulations is required.
- Working experience with LIMS system is preferred, knowledge of Labvantage LIMS is an advantage.
- Strong computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Ability to learn quickly new technologies.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English (B2+).
