WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

1. Issuing and receiving of equipment and consumables needed by the students and ensure that the equipment is in good condition regardless of consumables.

2. Maintains the orderlines and cleanliness of the stockroom and laboratories of the department/college.

3. Assisting the needs of both students and facilities in relation with their laboratory schedules.

4. In-charge of keeping laboratory records such as inventory, laboratory manuals of equipment, list of tools and equipment in laboratories, faculty rooms and classrooms of department/college.

5. Perform other task and/s functions as may be assigned and/or required by the Department Head.

• To perform analytical Oil Quality testing and analysis using different laboratory instruments and other essential job-related functions.
• To participate in ISO related tasks for the laboratory.
• Reprocess and interpret test results.
• To prepare and sign laboratory test reports.

• The ideal candidate is a fast learner, independent, and a team leader who can work under pressure and is willing to render overtime when necessary.

Laboratory Manager

Laboratory Manager
to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Quality Assurance Laboratory at the Medina Plant.

This role ensures accurate, timely testing of raw materials, in-process items, and finished products in line with international standards such as ISO 17025, BRCGS, FSSC 22000, and HACCP. The Laboratory Manager will lead the lab team, maintain regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to support Axelum's commitment to food safety and quality excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise all laboratory testing on raw materials, semi-finished, and finished coconut-based products (e.g., coconut water, desiccated coconut, coconut milk)
• Ensure the accuracy and reliability of physical, chemical, and microbiological test results
• Develop and implement testing protocols aligned with global food safety standards
• Manage laboratory equipment calibration, maintenance, and verification schedules
• Lead internal audits, prepare for external inspections, and support regulatory compliance
• Investigate non-conforming results, implement corrective actions, and maintain audit-ready documentation
• Lead, train, and manage laboratory personnel, ensuring technical competence and productivity
• Monitor lab performance, develop schedules, and ensure adequate staffing and resources
• Analyze trends to enhance lab efficiency and recommend improvements in methods and technologies
• Coordinate with QA, Production, and R&D teams to align testing with product specifications
• Prepare and submit timely laboratory reports and technical data to support decision-making and customer inquiries

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science, or related field
• Licensed Chemist (preferred or required depending on regulations)
• At least 5 years of experience in laboratory management or a senior QA role, ideally in food or coconut processing
• Proficient in food safety testing methods and instruments
• Strong knowledge of ISO 17025, HACCP, GMP, BRCGS, and FSSC 22000
• Skilled in audit handling, documentation, method development, and root cause analysis
• Excellent leadership, analytical thinking, and communication skills

· Develops and/or performs all formulation requirements of new formulas; Includes creation of theoretical formulation, bench mix development, product description or formulation sheet, lab tests, stability testing and monitoring, color verification, etc.

The Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing routine and specialized laboratory tests on construction materials, including soil, aggregate, concrete, and asphalt. This role ensures compliance with relevant industry standards and project specifications. The technician collects, prepares, and tests samples, records data, and supports construction teams with reliable test results to ensure the safety, durability, and quality of construction materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and prepare samples of soil, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates from construction sites.
• Perform standard laboratory tests such as:
• Concrete compressive strength tests
• Soil compaction and classification tests (e.g., Proctor, Atterberg Limits)
• Asphalt content and gradation analysis
• Aggregate testing (e.g., sieve analysis, L.A. abrasion)
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment as per manufacturer and regulatory standards.
• Record, analyze, and report test results accurately and in a timely manner.
• Ensure all tests are performed in accordance with ASTM, AASHTO, BS, or other relevant standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the lab and ensure all safety protocols are followed.
• Assist with field testing and quality control activities when needed.
• Prepare detailed test reports and communicate findings to supervisors, engineers, or project managers.
• Participate in internal and external audits when required.
