Your Role
As an AU Procurement & Contracts Officer, you are responsible for:
IS Category Management
- Support the IS Category Lead in managing low-value, low-risk Information Systems (IS) procurement needs across all corporate, onshore, and offshore operating divisions.
- Execute end-to-end contracting and procurement for IS development projects, covering total cost of ownership (TCO) for software, communications infrastructure, and other technology services.
- Lead sourcing activities for the IS category.
- Negotiate terms and pricing for IS products and services.
- Develop risk/value-balanced procurement recommendations informed by market intelligence for approval delegates.
Contracts and Project Delivery
- Apply procurement expertise to ensure project execution is delivered on time and within budget.
- Ensure the development and execution of contracts achieve the lowest Total Cost outcomes while accommodating scope changes.
- Maintain contracts to a high standard, including meticulous administration of Annual Contract Value (ACV), term, variations, and claims.
- Manage Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) activities for contracts under direct management.
Compliance and Stakeholder Alignment
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand sourcing needs and align supply chain strategies.
- Ensure all sourcing and contracting activities comply with company standards, Supply Chain requirements, and Joint Venture (JV) Agreements.
Required
- 1–2+ years of relevant experience in procurement and contracting.
- Foundational knowledge of end-to-end contracting principles or basic contract law.
- Experience in Information Systems (IS) management, governance, or compliance.
- Prior experience with any Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and negotiation skills.

Role & Responsibility
Your role will entail developing and implementing a supply chain and procurement strategy, entering into contracts with the right suppliers, and supporting the realisation of the project in accordance with the project procurement strategy and contract management strategy.
- The planning, implementation and execution of procurement and/or tender strategies.
- Draft and negotiate contracts including service, consultancy, supply and installation contracts.
- Provide guidance and advice to our clients on a variety of commercial and contractual matters.
On a day-to-day basis through the procurement process; tendering, negotiations, and contract execution; you will:
- Look to provide maximum value to our clients in terms of quality, price and schedule while minimizing risks;
- Lead and coordinate commercial, technical, financial and legal expertise from both our clients and within JUMBO, while in turn ensuring compliance with our clients governance and approval procedures
- Lead and perform the complete procurement process including issuing of requests for information, requests for proposals and tenders, evaluating proposals, recommending the award of and finalising contracts;
- Ensure that the procurement process is executed according to client policies and procedures, and documented in order to allow transparency and traceability throughout;
- Identify all value items and their relationship within the scope of the procurement and set the tender strategy according to a well-defined awarding criteria;
- Coordinate the flow of information internally and externally keeping all stakeholders informed on progress;
- Finalize the commercial and contractual deal as a basis for the contractual finalization through standard general conditions and/or managing exceptions to those together with legal and the main stakeholders;
- Achieve maximum value while minimizing delivery, quality and performance risks. Find compromises and solutions to drive negotiations to a close under time pressure;
- Actively participate in vendor relationship management, including: general communications and regular meetings, maintaining and improving vendor and market knowledge.
