The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for maintaining the perpetual master inventory listings of all nonexpendable property for an agency, coordinating the annual inventories of all property and equipment owned by an agency, and warehouses or disposes of surplus property.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Develops, implements, and maintains inventory control procedures to ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations; maintains a perpetual master inventory listing of all nonexpendable property for an agency including departments and/or branch offices
- Adds a new property to inventory, records transfers, and disposition of property on a computerized or manual recording system; coordinates the annual physical inventory for the agency by working with the departments and the branch offices to ensure the deadline is met and all property is accounted for
- Maintains a complete record of all inventory forms submitted to the controller's office and General Services
- Distributes equipment change lists to departments and branch offices with inventory cards and labels for new equipment
- Trains and works with departmental personnel and field staff on inventory control procedures, preparing proper forms, maintaining location files, and meeting required deadlines
- Disposes of excess or non-repairable property through direct competitive sales, scrapping procedures, and donations to sheltered workshops
- Warehouses surplus property following General Services procedures and guidelines; checks property disposition requests for both estimating resale value of scrap equipment and determining the status of equipment that could be used elsewhere in the agency
- Coordinates the process of locating, distributing, and allocating surplus equipment from departments that no longer have use for it to fulfill the needs of other departments
- Maintains a record of the number of copies run on photocopiers; handles minor paper jams and related problems as they arise; prepares reports such as Liability Report and Adjustments to Land, Building, and Grounds and may reconcile fund accounts to the General Ledger
- Receives and processes printing orders and copy center billings; assigns parking spaces to the staff of the agency and notifies payroll of payroll charges concerning parking
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
**Qualification to be successful in the role**:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Three (3) years’ experience in related field
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a host country driver's license.
- Use of APSR (Accountable Property System of Records)
- Material Handling Equipment (Forklift Operation, Pallet Jack, Hand Truck)
- **Must have Heavy Equipment Operator National Certification II from TESDA.**:
- Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Supervisory Training
- Ability to deliver training on his/her area of expertise to the lowest level
- WMS experience with Maximo, SAP, Oracle or similar systems
