We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable
Live Medical Scribe
to join an ophthalmology practice. The Live Scribe will work closely with physicians and clinical staff to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently, allowing providers to focus on delivering excellent patient care. This role is essential in improving workflow, ensuring accurate medical records, and enhancing the overall patient experience.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Prior experience working as a live medical scribe in an ophthalmology practice
- Experience in navigating modmed EMR is desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology; ophthalmology-specific terminology is highly desirable.
- Strong typing and computer skills with experience in EHR systems.
- Excellent listening, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and respect for patient confidentiality.
- Medical or bachelor's degree in health sciences or related field preferred.
- With good audio and wfh set up is preferred.
Requirements:
- Accurately and efficiently document patient histories, physical exams, assessments, and treatment plans during live patient encounters.
- Record ophthalmology-specific findings, diagnostic test results, and procedures as directed by the provider.
- Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely electronic health records (EHR).
- Support the provider by ensuring all patient information is updated, including medications, allergies, and relevant medical history.
- Assist in preparing charts before patient visits and ensuring proper documentation for billing and coding.
- Follow HIPAA and confidentiality regulations to safeguard patient information.
- Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and administrative staff to ensure smooth clinic operations.
- Perform other administrative or clerical tasks as assigned to support clinical efficiency.
