Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities of a Dispatcher for Fiber Drop Installation and Maintenance:

1. Scheduling and Coordination

2. Plan and schedule daily work assignments for installation and maintenance crews.

3. Coordinate with clients, field technicians, and other departments to ensure timely execution of tasks.

4. Allocate resources efficiently based on project priorities and technician availability.

5. Work Order Management

6. Receive, review, and prioritize work orders related to fiber drop installation and maintenance.

7. Ensure all necessary documentation and details are accurate before dispatching technicians.

8. Communication and Liaison

9. Serve as the primary point of contact between field teams and management.

10. Provide clear instructions and updates to technicians in the field.

11. Relay customer requests, feedback, and issues to the relevant departments.

12. Monitoring and Tracking

13. Monitor the progress of ongoing jobs to ensure deadlines are met.

14. Track technician locations and work status using GPS or other tracking tools.

15. Update job statuses and communicate any delays or issues promptly.

16. Problem-Solving

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in scheduling, coordination, or dispatching.
• Prior experience in the telecommunications or fiber installation/maintenance industry is strongly preferred.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in scheduling and work order management tools.
• Working knowledge of fiber installation and maintenance processes.
• Ability to monitor field operations using GPS or tracking systems.

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for coordination across teams.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

UNIT UPKEEP – MINOR REPAIRS

● Inspect units, equipment, and appliances for functionality, checking for faults and fixing
