• Performs basic molding machine operation and maintenance

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Plastic Injection Molding Machine Technician who can operate and maintain the molding machine. As a Technician, you will play an essential role in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting plastic injection molding equipment to ensure efficient production of high-quality components.

What You'll Be Doing

• Operate and monitor plastic injection molding machines, ensuring optimum machine performance and consistent product quality.
• Set-up molds in molding machines and ensure mold set-up, changeovers, and housekeeping standards are met.
• Conduct routine maintenance, adjustments, and troubleshooting of equipment to minimize downtime
• Maintain accurate production records and machine logs.
• Follow all safety protocols and quality standards to ensure compliance.
• Troubleshoot equipment or tooling issues during production.
• Provide technical support and guidance to less experienced staff as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Educational Attainment

• Graduate of Engineering or Technical courses related to electrical, mechanical, electromechanics, and electronics.

Work Experience/Skill/Certification

• Knowledgeable in operation and maintenance of injection molding machines and its auxiliaries.
• Able to perform troubleshooting of electrical circuits, hydraulic and pneumatic system.
• Preferably with experience in machine maintenance gained in plastic manufacturing company
• Can work in shifting schedule incl. holidays.
• Good working attitude
• Can work with minimal supervision
• Basic knowledge of MS Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Knowledgeable in 5S and safety practices in a manufacturing set-up

Qualifications:

Responsibilities:

1. Perform spot checks on machines/peripheral equipment in the area of responsibility every shift according to the specified contents and fill in all spot check reports correctly;
2. Forming parameters daily inspection process, the machine and other parameters have changed, according to the actual inspection fill in time to report to the superiors to deal with;
3. Receive orders from superiors to arrange for mold conversion, go to the clerk's office to collect work documents as soon as possible, and promptly collect production data documents and hand them over to the assistant office;
4. According to the content of the "mold transfer order", check and prepare the peripheral equipment: hardware machine, protective film machine, hardware insertion jig, suction product jig and so on;
5. Cooperate with superiors to prepare the work before start-up: preparation of production materials, regeneration material barrels, machine marking status update, workbench, peripheral equipment, etc. clean up, notify the team leader to arrange the work of the personnel;
6. Cooperate with supervisors to maintain normal production of the machine and deal with abnormal alarms of the machine in a timely manner;
7. Assist employees in dealing with problems that occur during production to ensure safe and orderly production;
8. Carry out the 6S work of the district and ensure that the machine and peripheral equipment are clean and tidy;
9. Complete other tasks assigned by supervisors

JOB Responsibilities:

1. Develop scientific-based processes and establish documentation and controls to ensure efficient and stable production operations.

2. Assist in managing new order scheduling and all work order documentation. Provide hands-on participation, guidance, and leadership in team operational activities.

3. Conduct technical evaluations and improvement recommendations for new mold assessments, trial runs, modifications, pilot production, and acceptance. Define process validation, parameters, trial run documentation, and maintain records of optimized process settings.

4. Perform trial runs for new products to determine optimal process parameters, identify product and mold defects, and implement corrective measures.

5. Analyze process-related defects in production, propose corrective and improvement measures, and ensure resolution.

6. Develop and implement maintenance plans for injection molding machines, molds, and related equipment to ensure safety, quality, capacity, and utilization efficiency.

7. Proficient in new factory equipment setup, with experience in installing and commissioning new machines.

Requirements:

1. Minimum 5 years of experience in injection molding processes, with expertise in injection molding principles, mold structures, and product designs.

2. Proficient in optimizing machine parameters based on material properties, skilled in process improvement, and knowledgeable in plastic material characteristics.

3. Experienced in testing new products and enhancing process performance to meet quality standards.

4. Strong background in quality control/inspection. Proficiency in AutoCAD, PRO/E, or similar CAD software is preferred.

5. Skilled in mold management and maintenance, including mold venting verification, daily mold upkeep procedures, and evaluation/management of wear-prone components.

6. Proactive, organized, and excellent communication and coordination skills.

2. Develop and execute product quality inspection plans, promptly reporting any quality issues.

3. Analyze and resolve quality issues during production, proposing improvement recommendations.

4. Perform quality evaluations for new products and provide enhancement suggestions.

5. Conduct sampling inspections and prepare detailed inspection reports.

6. Deliver quality training to employees to enhance quality awareness and technical skills.

Requirements:

1. Possess relevant professional knowledge, with proficiency in injection molding production processes and quality control. Skilled in using inspection equipment such as CMMs and projectors.

2. Ability to establish and improve factory quality processes and systems, ensuring a robust quality framework.

3. Familiarity with IQC, FAI, IPQC, and OQC processes. Capable of creating SOPs, SIPs, and other production/testing documents. Knowledgeable in ISO standards, able to independently handle customer complaints, complete 8D reports, and produce various QC reports.

4. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address issues swiftly and accurately. Experience in supporting audits for new clients and driving corrective actions.

5. Minimum 5 years of quality inspection experience in the injection molding industry.
