About the position:
As the HR Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that the organization follows all compliance laws, external regulations, and government requirements (i.e. requirements by DOLE, PEZA, SSS, Pag-Ibig and Philhealth. You will also be responsible for ensuring that internal policies and procedures are met as well. This role is for someone who has a thorough understanding of compliance laws and stays up to date on all new government requirements. The person should have experience in regulatory reporting and compliance deliverables across various government agencies.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing and submitting reports and documents required by government agencies (i.e.DOLE, PEZA, SSS, Pag-Ibig, Phihealth)
- Coordinating and working directly with facilities, legal and other departments on documents and actions needed related to compliance
- Developing and implementing an effective compliance program
- Ensuring that all company permits and licenses are updatedand can update all registrations and act as a liaison between company and authorities whenever needed.
- Handling external and internal audits
- Conducting mandatory, compliance training to managers and employees (Labor, OSH, company policies and procedures).
- Performing periodic internal audits to identify areas of non-compliance, weaknesses and risks
- Representing the company in the conciliation of any labor issues
- Conducts case investigations, prepares documentation and recommendations for corrective/disciplinary actions of employees; and facilitates admin hearings when needed.
- Staying up to date on existing and new government policies and regulations; and informing management where there is noncompliance, while preparing and implementing action items to address these
- Organize and assist in employee programs and activities
- Assist in other HR-related tasks assigned by the management (including payroll, talent acquisition)
What you will bring to our team:
- Candidate must have at least 4 years of regulatory and compliance experience specifically with DOLE, PEZA, SSS, HDMF, PhilHealth, BIR, etc.
- Expert knowledge of Philippine labor laws, employment policies and regulations
- Good stakeholder management skills - can work with leaders at all levels with confidence and will be able to put the organization and its employees first.
- Can work independently with excellent decision-making skills.
- Action-oriented and willing to work directly with government agencies
- Ability to travel domestically when needed.
