Head of MCS - Microsurgical

We're now looking for a Head of MCS, to join us in Taguig City, Phillipines.

Your Role:

Reporting to the Head of Meditec Philippines, the incumbent is responsible in driving the sales and growth of the Microsurgical business in the Philippines focusing on surgical operating microscopes, intraoperative radiation therapy machine including oncology workflows and In Vivo Pathology Suite (Convivo). The incumbent shall have responsibilities to drive sales achievement and ensure quarterly sales forecast accuracy, execute Microsurgical business strategies in a timely manner, oversee operation-related issues, collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, in order to contribute to business growth. Additionally, the incumbent will lead and coach the Philippine MCS team towards target achievement, develop a high performing team and inculcate discipline, strong work ethic and teamwork among MCS team members.

Primary duties and responsibilities:

Sales and Account Management

  • Develop sound sales plans and strategies for the MCS business (visualization, RAD and tumor workflow solutions) in the Philippines capturing business opportunities and overcoming threats vis-a-vis CZPH's strengths and weaknesses
  • Ensure that the MCS Team generate fresh sales leads, capture and input them timely in Entergon
  • Qualify on a timely manner the MCS leads according to revenue potential i.e. discontinue or promote to opportunity;
  • Assess the MCS Team members weekly call plan prior to the start of each week ensuring that the right/qualified customers are visited in line with the business strategies;
  • Regularly review the MCS funnel of opportunities in terms of accuracy and speed of converting opportunities to revenues and present to SEA during monthly funnel review;
  • Track the MCS Team's implementation of initiatives based on agreed performance measures on a monthly basis
  • Promote ZEISS Smart Service, RAD and Tumor Workflow Solutions
  • Support and coach the MCS sales team in participating and winning bids in both private and government sectors and closing complex sales
  • Ensure growth of market share for MCS machines
  • Conduct periodic business reviews with the MCS Team with the objective of growing existing install base, expanding market presence and growing share of wallet for consumables
  • Coach the MCS Team in profiling customers based on ZEISS criteria in customer classification
  • Guide the MCS sales reps in preparing a sound account development plan (ADP) for qualified customers and ensure that they are implementing the ADP
  • Coach the MCS sales reps in preparing price calculators and price proposals to customers;
  • Review the price calculators and price proposals prepared by the MCS sales reps and prepare the necessary justification as reference for the approvers;
  • Achieve MCS budget bottom-line by rationalizing discounts given to customers and formulating cost-efficient marketing activities
  • Formulate business proposals for big projects i.e. IORT and TWF to customers supported by financial and ROI plans
  • Manage the MCS team members to achieve and exceed sales and financial targets for MCS business
  • Actively manage key accounts by engaging primary stakeholders in the identified key customer accounts to drive ZEISS MCS market leadership

Marketing

  • Plan, initiate and implement marketing strategies for MCS
  • Evaluate and establish product positioning for MCS machines vs competition
  • Conduct market pricing analysis and benchmarking of ZEISS prices per channel vs competition
  • Formulates sound and workable MCS strategies, initiatives and measures and prepares MCS budget work files and slides for presentation to SEA stakeholders
  • Engage in B2B marketing activities in collaboration with the Regional Team
  • Develop and engage with Key Opinion Leaders within the Surgical Business segment
  • Plan, coordinate and implement marketing activities such as product launches, round table discussions as well as workshops to further grow the MCS business in the Philippines.

Market and Competitor Analysis and Growth

  • Formulate sound and sustainable market penetration plan and ensure its timely and seamless execution by the MCS sales reps;
  • Establish and endeavor meaningful and periodic engagements with an Advisory Board consisting of key influential MDs with representation from neuro, ortho, spine and ENT specialties with the objective of keeping abreast with visualization, RAD and oncology workflow trends and understanding related end-users' preferences and translating them into growth-driven MCS marketing strategies;
  • Provide market and competitor analysis for the Philippines market
  • Primarily accountable for the growth of MCSl Devices and consumables (drapes) in all channels in the Philippines
  • Provide all appropriate reporting to the SEA Business Managers including but not limited to surgical trends, ZEISS machine usage/performance, end-users' feedback, and competitor activities on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Liaise with RA to ensure that all machines and consumables in the MCS portfolio are covered with FDA registrations and to ensure timely registration of new products vs launch timeline

Operations & Inventory Management

  • Efficiently and effectively manage the routing and placement schedule of demo units among qualified customers inventory effectively to support the achievement of MCS PH sales target. This includes the creation of a demo plan, efficient deployment and tracker for successful demo (if it leads to a sale) or not
  • Ensure that MCS Sales and Application Specialists (SAS) create their sales quotations in CRM on time without any errors
  • Endeavor to continuously improve sales processes by adopting the right, effective and efficient sales tools
  • Collaborate with PH Service Manager in resolving on MCS-related installation priorities and resolution of after-sales issues of customers.

Your Experience:

  • University Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing or any related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Sales Management / Business Development in the medical device industry, preferably with Capital Equipment and Medical consumables sales experience
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

About The Role
We are seeking a results-driven Head of Sales to lead our go-to-market efforts across both our AI-driven eKYC and risk management solutions (AAI) as well as our credit bureau offerings (CBP). This leadership role is critical to driving revenue growth, deepening enterprise relationships, and scaling our presence in the Philippines' ecosystem. The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record in enterprise solution sales, preferably in fintech, regtech, or SaaS, with a deep understanding of both commercial strategy and technical solutioning. You must be capable of leading the full sales lifecycle—from opportunity generation to deal closure and long-term relationship management.

You Will

  • Lead and manage the entire sales lifecycle: from lead generation, opportunity management, and contract negotiation to post-sale relationship growth and account expansion.
  • Create and implement effective strategic account plans that include: revenue forecasting, market penetration strategies, targeted account mapping, cross-functional resource planning, identification of key influencers and decision-makers
  • Own and execute the sales strategy across both AAI (eKYC, risk, fraud prevention, AI-based automation)and CBP (credit bureau products, data partnerships, scoring solutions).
  • Drive new business by leveraging an existing portfolio of high-value client relationships, particularly in banking, financial services, fintech, and government sectors.
  • Develop and maintain deep, consultative relationships with key clients and stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor on both product and market strategy.
  • Establish and maintain excellent customer relationships across all levels, serving as a liaison between internal teams and customers to deliver superior outcomes.
  • Lead the development of strategic sales plans using data-driven insights and business analysis tools to: oIdentify and track revenue trends
  • Recognize sales opportunities
  • Analyze competitive threats and market shifts
  • Maintain a strong grasp of our technical product capabilities, competitive landscape, and pricing structure to clearly articulate the differentiated value of AAI & CBP offerings in client engagements.

What You'll Need To Succeed

  • BS/BA or equivalent, MBA optional but preferred.
  • Preferred 8-10+ years of proven sales experience. Work experience in the professional sales environment.
  • Preferred 8-10+ years of proven Banking and Financial Services Service sales and/or operational experience.
  • C-level sales experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills as well as presentation skills.
  • Proven experience and track record in managing clients coming from banking/financial industry.
