What is the focus of the role?
The Global Solution Architect's role is key in developing solutions for customers based on defined requirements. The GSA is often referred to as the solution lead and is the key role in helping align Telstra's capabilities to customer technology outcomes by organizing and designing solutions that include technologies and services that meet customers' business outcomes and requirements.
The role is a key part of our technical pre-sales team which supports our sales teams and works collaboratively with customers and other members of our technical team to develop, propose and compose solutions for our customers using a broad range of products, managed services and 3rd party technologies.
This is how you bring the purpose of your role to life:
- Actively managing the customer requirements and assisting the sales teams qualify, build and close opportunities.
- During the proposal phase, evaluate and understand the specific needs or challenges that Telstra can address, and determine how to best design, deliver, and support Telstra's products and services to meet those requirements.
- Be the Solution Lead (design authority) for designing and developing very high quality and distinctive technology solutions through the evaluation of customer's technical requirements, contributing to desired business outcomes for our customers
- Lead agile virtual teams, including the customer, to develop/co-create an end-to-end services and solution architecture based on Telstra's repeatable technologies that support the customer's technical requirements
- Create and design across domains, across accounts and across Lines of Business. The Global Solution Architect is to be an active member of a technical community that continuously contributes to 'best practice' and actively works against the silo mentality.
- Accountable for multiple and complex work assignments, delivering within timeframes.
- Preparation of major strategic solutions including leading and supporting strategic development projects.
- Document the Solution Design in appropriate detail, including standard and customized elements, that describes proposed end to end solution both for Telstra internal stakeholders and customer proposals
- Performing rigorous analysis to identify potential value creating solutions, developing holistic and complete solution, including assumptions and communicating key features to important stakeholders.
- Developing and delivering technology services following either standardized or tailored methodologies and practices
- Subject matter expert for solution development across a number of technology domains
- Providing thought leadership through the development of client facing consulting materials on key topics and contributing to the development of reusable intellectual property.
- Participate in quality reviews to refine and optimize the solution, identify, document and mitigate risks/ issues/ assumptions/ dependencies for the designed solution
- Provide leadership and act as point of guidance of the solution to project/transition teams, until solution is delivered. Lead knowledge transfer of the solution to delivery teams to enable their success.
- Take ownership of and actively contribute to knowledge management by developing and maintaining service catalogues. This supports the repeatability of Telstra services, helping to reduce the total cost of sales and delivery while standardizing solutions for future customers.
- Incorporate automation as a key design consideration and best practice when developing conceptual solution designs. Ensure that simplification and cost-effective delivery are embedded within the overall solution architecture.
- Must demonstrate strong professional acumen and astute business sense. Requirement to ensure the solution completeness and ability to deliver and value of complex solutions, by anticipating, analyzing and mitigating risk associated with contractual elements, financial drivers, liability and trade practices.
- Manages a high level of ambiguity. Effectively manages the ambiguity, complexity and change arising from frequently shifting customer demands and priorities.
To be successful in the role, you'll bring skills and experience in:-
Essential:
- Bachelor's Degree or similar qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years industry experience in information technology and telecommunications, particularly in Pre-Sales and/or Sales Engineering
- Extensive working knowledge of the following technologies: Wide Area Network, MPLS, Internet, and Point-to-Point connectivity
- Experience in proposal delivery to align with company strategy and capability
- Extensive experience with complex solution design across multi-domains and solution lifecycle costing
- Extensive experience in design for solution, delivery, risk and issue identification
- Strong experience in engaging and influencing a large and complex stakeholder group and collaboration across virtual teams to short deadlines.
- Broad knowledge of technical, service, costing and legal.

Key job responsibilities
As a Senior Compliance Associate, you will review product information against regulatory documentation to ensure compliance for Amazon listings. Using Amazon tools, you will classify products and address deviations from SOPs in collaboration with your manager and experts. You will prioritize tasks using reports to meet quality, productivity, and service targets. You may identify improvement opportunities, like automating reports with Excel, and contribute to SOP refinement. You will share expertise in knowledge-sharing sessions and mentor peers.
Required Skills:

Degreed is looking for a SaaS Solutions Architect to join our growing team in APJ. In this role, you'll partner closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to design and deliver solutions that are scalable, secure, and aligned to client needs — always with a focus on performance and value.
You'll play a key role in shaping how we approach solution design across the region, helping enterprise clients unlock the full potential of Degreed's platform through thoughtful architecture and consultative guidance.
This is a remote-first role based in APJ, with potential for limited international travel (1–2 times per year) for company-wide events and collaboration.

Experience

Compensation
We are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
The total pay range for this role is ₱3,000,000 - ₱5,000,000.
