Job Description
Project Monitoring
- Reporting to the GIS Analyst, the tasks involve managing data for multiple projects and requirements simultaneously, updating map sets and base information, organizing and maintaining map sets and schemas, and where required explaining anomalies and important information in meeting
Strategy
- Maintains and provides all mapping and database information
- Manages and monitors outputs of mapping to ensure that the company standard is maintained
Execution
- Develop, edit and maintain geospatial data and database
- Perform spatial analysis and create thematic maps for reports and presentations
- Develop automation tools related to GIS analysis
- Create and maintain web and mobile map applications via ArcGIS Online
- Provide end-user support on GIS related issues
GIS Project Management
- Take part in the planning, execution, and delivery of GIS projects, ensuring high-quality results within established timelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate GIS solutions into broader projects and initiatives
Technology Innovation
- Stay abreast of the latest GIS technologies and trends, driving the adoption of innovative tools and methodologies within the team
- Contribute to the evaluation and implementation of emerging geospatial technologies to enhance the capabilities of the GIS team
- Spatial Analysis and Problem-Solving
- Work with the team in conducting spatial analyses to provide valuable insights for land management, conservation, and sustainable development projects
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address spatial challenges, utilizing GIS to propose effective solutions
Data Management and Quality Assurance
- Work with the team to ensure the integrity and accuracy of spatial data through effective data management practices
- Work with the team to establish and enforce quality control procedures to guarantee the reliability of GIS outputs
About you
- Bachelor's Degree in GIS, Remote Sensing, Geomatics, Surveying, or Applied Geography
- High-level competency and experience in ArcGIS suites of products (ArcGIS Pro)
- Relevant experience on GIS analyses, database management and development
- Experience in Python scripting and/or ArcGIS Arcade for geoprocessing and automation
- Ability to self-manage with a flexible and adaptable approach
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders
Advantageous Experience
- Experience in spatial applications on multi-disciplinary construction, mining, services or engineering projects
- Experience in ArcGIS Online applications (e.g. Map Viewer, Experience Builder, Field Maps, Survey123, StoryMaps, Dashboards) development
- Experience in remote sensing acquisition, data management and analytics
- Familiarity with the geographical and environmental context of Australia and Philippines.
Reporting & Communication
- Provide regular task status updates to the GIS Analyst.
- Maintain tasks documentation, issues, and status.
- Contribute to GIS team planning meetings and problem solving.

Data Gathering
- Coordinate with government officials and other third parties from different departments (DENR, LGUs, etc.) to gather relevant spatial data for the projects;
- Facilitate/ coordinate the acquisition of new spatial data from subcontractors and consultants, and supervise the integration of these data into a database;
- Assist the team in gathering Land related documentations from relevant agencies
Mapping and ground verification
- Coordinate with contractors in survey-related projects like parcellary surveys, topographic surveys or other similar activities;
- monitor contractors' progress submissions, assess quality of data and coordinate possible issues
- Assists in field surveys and inspections when necessary
GIS-related activities
- Georeference maps and incorporate the information from land documents into a geodatabase;
- Prepare detailed supporting GIS files, maps, databases and trackers to be used for engineering, land acquisition, permitting, compliance and other project development activities;
- Coordinate with the Land Acquisition team and update the acquisition status weekly via the land database;
- Updates and maintain database of all land related information per project
- Analyses and interprets data gathered, GIS and survey issues and coordinate to the team if necessary
Others:
- Assist in managing, organizing and tracking of all land related documentations including map references (Hard and soft copies)
- Participates in planning sessions of LA and Business Development Teams
