Key job responsibilities

Amazon seeks a Finance Payroll Specialist with at least 4 years payroll in a large customer-oriented corporate environment. Japan Payroll is processed on a monthly basis, and this person will perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility including data compilation and support of the Payroll Team.

Responsibilities Also Include

• Respond to Tax related inquiries raised from employees/stake holders .
• Performs/reviews various analysis and reconciliation.
• Prepares various reports (monthly, quarterly and annual)
• Process and pay statutory deductions on time to statutory authorities
• Process new hires, terminations and other additional inputs from Upstream
• Audit payroll registers shared by vendor and share observations if any
• Finalize payroll before agreed time lines and pay employee on time
• Improve process to increase effectiveness and efficiency
• Support and lead various projects
• Provides reporting to management on issues, projects and process updates
• Monitor deliverables and identifies improvement within the area
• Produce timely responses to employee/stakeholders inquiries
• Contribute with adhoc requests and team projects as needed

Basic Qualifications

• Must be a Bachelor's degree graduate or equivalent
• 4+ years of relevant work experience in Payroll, Finance or Human Resources
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Excellent in English written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong experience with customer service
• Strong payroll experience in Japan payroll or other APAC countries
• Detail oriented
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

1.    Supervises the day-to-day Finance activities of all Maynilad Plants.

2.    Assist in collecting cost information and maintain an expenses database.

3.    Work with suppliers and Engineers to resolve issues in work order and ensure timely closing in SAP.

4.    Work with suppliers, SCM and AP Team to resolve AP issues

5.    Assist the Finance Business Partner to establish and maintain standard costs

6.    Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies on a regular basis

7.    Support the preparation of plant budget.

8.    Prepare (monthly, quarterly and annual) cost forecasts

9.    Assist in month-end and year-end closing

10.  Prepare and analyze manufacturing costs and data.

11.   Analyze manufacturing variances (volume, price and overhead variances)

12.  Records and reports cost information for use in controlling expenditures, conducting audits as necessary

13.  Compiles cost information to be used in operating budget preparation

14.  Ensures compliance of Plant to month-end and year-end activities

15.  Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL LICENSES

Graduate of BS in Accountancy

WORK EXPERIENCE

With at least five (5) years of relevant work experience in Plant Finance, Variance Analysis and Process Improvement

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Position Title: ERP Functional Tester – Oracle Cloud Finance

Non-Negotiable Skills:

• Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)

• Functional experience with Oracle Cloud ERP – particularly in Finance modules such as:

• Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Accounts Payable (AP)
• General Ledger (GL)
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Hands-on experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

Additional Preferred Skills & Tools:

• Solid understanding of business processes: Q2C (Quote to Cash), R2R (Record to Report), A2R (Account to Report)

• Identify, document, and track defects to closure using test management tools
• Assist with data validation, reconciliation, and reporting during testing cycles
• Participate in status meetings, provide test progress updates, and escalate risks or issues as needed
• Ensure overall quality and completeness of testing deliverables
