Brief Summary of Task

As the Facilities & Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in a medical manufacturing facility in Makati. Reporting to our Facilities and Maintenance Manager, this position will assist with leading the facilities and maintenance team to ensure the reliability and availability of all our production related equipment to achieve quality, operational and production objectives, through both preventative and reactive maintenance activities.

Job responsibilities:

• Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure manufacturing equipment is in optimum condition to achieve the operational requirements. This includes creating equipment maintenance work instructions & SOPs standardizing activities.
• Minimise downtime through coordinating equipment maintenance schedules and conducting maintenance tasks.
• Monitors time-based verification, calibration & maintenance schedule.
• Using fault-finding and root cause analysis methodologies to accurately and efficiently identify the cause of the issues or failures.
• Manage and supervise equipment maintenance technicians in carrying out troubleshooting activities in response to issues that slow or disrupt production.
• Engaging with maintenance service providers as needed to ensure effective support and collaboration where necessary.
• Maintaining control over maintenance tools, spare parts & equipment.
• Implementation of improvement activities to support operation efficiency and sustainability.
• Carrying out administrative tasks within the department.
• Maintains records of all implemented documents, service reports, certificates, etc.
• Oversees and manage manufacturing equipment related improvement projects.
• Liaise & collaborate with other departments to address manufacturing equipment issues.

About the job:

• Supervises daily production team activities and monitors productivity, responsible for team results. Trains new members on processes.
• Identifies improvement areas and suggests process enhancements, including OEE, yield, quality, Pokayoke, and machine design issues.

Primary Function:

Troubleshoots line equipment, performs line equipment calibrations and repairs, performs routine maintenance on a variety of line production equipment and makes the necessary adjustments to restore equipment to proper operating standards, makes verbal or written reports to supervisor regarding conditions or problems encountered.
