+ Review engineering drawings to check material specifications.
+ Review parts and check item status and material specification using system and engineering drawings.
+ Review and check active vendors for parts submitted on Customer Requests
+ Communicate and coordinate with suppliers/product planners/supplier quality engineers/commodity managers to receive material declaration submissions.
+ Review the requested list of parts and provide commodity codes to POC as a reference on reaching out to the designated commodity manager.
+ Acts and serves as a key person for customer request submissions for the business unit.
+ Provides status updates on the materials compliance to Requestor - Inside Sales Engineer/ Supplier Quality Engineer/Project Engineer/Compliance
+ Assists in communicating declaration of conformity to stakeholders (suppliers quality engineers/commodity managers/product planners/sales representatives) to notify that material declaration submission of component is compliant/affected according to legislation.
+ Review and upload product environmental customer requests on the system
+ Assist PEC Engineers with BOM, drawings, vendor, and engineering material specifications.
+ Assist Components Engineering by checking the database with the status of components about material declaration submission if the submission is full (complete chemical composition breakdown) or partial (with proprietary chemical composition)
+ Review and validate the material declaration submission to check if the submission is full (complete chemical composition breakdown) or partial (with proprietary chemical composition) material declaration.
+ Review if parts uploaded on the system have material declaration submission.
+ Review the database with the status of the component about material declaration submission.
+ Attend regular meetings to understand PEC challenges with business unit suppliers/components.
+ Review past list to ensure compliance with legislation for production part approval.
+ Review and approve the assessed bill of materials components for the entire product and their designated Production planners/Project Engineer to ensure compliance with legislation for new product development projects and customer requests.
+ Ensure implementation of environmental compliance legislations for new product processes by collaborating with Production planners/Project Engineer throughout various phases of PPAP and NPD
+ Attend NPD gate meetings as needed.
+ Determine and ensure accuracy and integrity of the necessary compliance records by specific legal and Copeland requirements including calculations, vendor document accuracy, customer request and response, new product development, specifications, and related documentation.
+ Plan, select, and implement tools/systems for substance compliance for improved efficiency of processes.
+ Review the changes/updates in Environmental Legislation and communicate its effects on components to the Business Unit
+ Update the Business Unit's Environmental Compliance documentation including but not limited to CP98-5000 Product Material Compliance Procedure as approved by legal and POC.
+ **_Support global, regional and national legislation updates by providing reports and/or data to support customers and/or the Sustaining Environmental & Sustainability Compliance team._**

+ Perform Product Material Compliance analysis for existing and emerging regulations applicable to Discrete Automation products through investigation, evaluation, and calculation of present restricted substances in components in accordance with regulatory thresholds.
+ Create and maintain different internal compliance system management used by the business unit through different tools, not limited to Office 365 Power Platforms, MS Access, or SQL.
+ Communicate with internal customers reports, certificates, or declarations pertaining to product environmental compliance.
+ Review component material data for product compliance analysis and business requirements by data scrubbing and establishing material qualification criteria for product lifecycle management qualification and enrollment.

+ Working knowledge of environmental legislation and similar (e.g., EU ROHS, EU REACH, etc.).
