EMT Responsibilities:
- Responds to emergency calls and provides immediate medical assistance to patients in various settings such as homes, public places, medical facilities, or accident scenes
- Assess the patient's condition, including vital signs, level of consciousness, and nature of injury or illness
- Administers basic life support techniques such as CPR, controlling bleeding, immobilizing fractures, and providing oxygen therapy.
- Operates and maintains emergency medical equipment, including defibrillators, oxygen delivery systems, and stretchers.
- Communicates with the healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely information about the patient's condition.
- Transports patients safely to or from the medical facility.
- Documents all patient care activities, including assessments, treatments, and transport details.
- Maintains knowledge of current medical practice and protocols, and participates in continuing education and training programs
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited EMT training program.
- Certification as an EMT at the appropriate level (EMT-Basic, EMT-Intermediate, or EMT-Paramedic).
- Preferably with an updated BLS certificate.
- Strong knowledge of emergency medical procedures and protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.

I. JOB SUMMARY
Carries out EEG procedures and other special procedures as directed using electroencephalograph for use in diagnosis of brain disorders.
II. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
REGULAR DUTIES
- Administers procedures to both in and out patients which includes the following:
a. Checks doctor's request/order to ascertain that procedures to be done conforms to the request
b. Fastens electrode to patient's head, using adhesive tape, adhesive paste or pins inserted into skull epidermis according to specified pattern
c. Attaches electrode terminals to switchbox and turns selector switches to attain combinations for complete set of graphic readings
d. Observes patient's behavior and makes notes on graph.
Prepares charge slips for procedures performed
Releases EEG results
Answers queries regarding procedures and other matters pertinent to the department
Ensures proper utilization of all EEG machines and reports any malfunction to supplier
Helps maintain clean and orderly working environment
Performs other duties as may be assigned from time to time
OCCASIONAL DUTIES
Makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment
Assists in training student nurses in the technicalities of EEG
