Project Engineering Manager
WHAT IS THIS ROLE ABOUT?
This position will lead Supply Chain's transformational project for its Central Warehouse operations which include professional field and office engineering work related to the planning, design, construction and maintenance of capital improvement projects (preparation of basic designs, specifications, plans, estimations and reports for the development and modification of the main project); cash flow and budget management of all assigned projects; and takes full responsibility for all assigned engineering projects.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Serves as project manager on the company's projects namely defining project scope & design; selecting consultants; managing changes & amendments to all design & contractor proposals; serving as the budget owner in the tender process; monitoring contractor's work & other unit's participation and keeping to the project deadlines.
- Prepares routine plans, designs, specifications, estimations and reports, including Material Handling equipment data, determining new warehouse materials and funding availability; provides engineering expertise reports.
- Reviews private development plans submitted by developers, landowners and engineers for adequacy of application and conformance with plans and specifications.
- Provides technical advice to contractors, other professionals and the general public regarding policies, codes and regulations; assists in resolving technical problems
- Select consultants, negotiate contracts with contractors and subcontractors and monitor their work onsite. Develops requests for proposals and initiates tender procedures, evaluates the bids submitted and recommends contractors.
- Leading and developing projects portfolio, and following up departments requirements and improvement opportunities to define and build up future capex plans with coordination with all related divisions and following company guidelines

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (Professional License and/or PMP certification is an advantage)
- At least 5 years of leadership experience in Engineering project management, Capital improvement projects, or plant engineering; exposure to the tobacco, FMCG, or manufacturing industry is an advantage
- Proficient in MS Office and SAP (MM, O2C modules) with strong technical reporting and documentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex engineering projects, from design and planning to execution and completion, with a structured and methodical approach
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, capable of resolving technical and operational issues effectively
- Solid understanding of project finance, budgeting, and cash flow planning and management
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to coordinate with contractors, consultants, and cross-functional teams
