Job Description

Basic Function:
br>The Guidance Counselor helps in the development of the students’ psychological well-being. < r>
Major Responsibility:

Develops the guidance and counseling program
Interviews, counsels and assists students in finding ways of clarifying and supervising their queries and difficulties
Maintains a systematic data bank of relevant information about counselees
Conducts group guidance sessions, orientation activities, trainings and seminars
Helps the psychometrician administer, process and evaluate the College Entrance exam, psychological and other standardized test to individuals or group of students.
Explains psychological test results to students, teachers, parents and/or may authorized persons, either in group or individually
Ensures the confidentiality of sensitive information
Submits required reports
Makes referrals to specialist those cases which are beyond his capacity to handle
Updates himself with the latest trends and researches in the field of psychology guidance and counseling

Qualifications:

Graduate of AB/BS Psychology with Master's in Guidance & Counseling

With or without experience

Preferably with license (Registered Guidance Counselor) RGC

with good communication skills

Amenable to work in Biñan Laguna br>

- Performs other tasks that may be assigned by the superior from time to time.

**Qualifications**:

- Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Psychology or Behavioral Science.
- With Master’s Degree/units in Guidance and Counseling.
- Registered Guidance Counselor is an advantage.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Verbal ability is necessary to understand appropriate terminologies and how it applies top guidance and counseling work; to communicate with students, staff, parents, administrators and other people; and to prepare meaningful reports and evaluations.
- Clerical perception is necessary to keep accurate and relevant records.
- Familiarity with different psychological tests, processes and procedures for handling investigations are important as applied to students’ cases and concerns.
