Reporting to the Sr. Strategist of Global Learning, the Designer Developer Media Specialist will be assisting in creating best-in-class learning programs for learners in a variety of roles, both as they onboard to their roles and for ongoing capability development. The role is also responsible in developing and deploying learning content in partnership with instructional designers and other learning team.
Core Duties by Competency:
Knows the Business
- Apply ADDIE, SAM, Kirkpatrick and other recognized models to rapidly design, develop and publish engaging course content and learning activities for ILT, online and virtual modalities with continuous evaluation/improvement cycles for the course content.
- Identify best delivery methods for meeting learning objectives. Where needed, adapt instructional materials created for one format to another format (usually from face-to-face to eLearning and virtual).
- Author training material using authoring tools including Articulate 360 (Rise, Storyline, and
- Review), Vyond, Canva, the Patra Learning Management System, and other common tools.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the latest trends, best practices, and methods as they relate to adult learning theory and learning technologies. Ensure experiential learning is leveraged to accelerate development.
- Develop course content including: graphics, scenarios, job aids, simulations, audio scripts, eLearning courses and live virtual learning experiences.
- Skilled in all aspects of instructional design including needs assessment, design, development, implementing and evaluating learning with a demonstrated track record of introducing and driving innovative programs that lead to tangible and measurable results.

Minimum Requirements
- Two+ years experience in learning/training/people development, preferably in a corporate
- environment. Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate, build effective relationships and influence peers and key stakeholders to achieve results.
- Experience leveraging adult learning methodologies, learning management systems, eLearning authoring tools
- (Articulate suite preferred), and MS Office.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field.
At least 3-5 years of experience as an Instructional Designer or similar role.
Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools (e.g. Articulate 360 suite).
Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theories (e.g. ADDIE, SAM)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Creative and innovative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
Project management skills and very high attention to detail.
Multimedia, Video Editing and graphic design skills are preferred (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign).
Certification in instructional design (e.g. Certified Professional in Learning and Performance - CPLP) is a plus.
Experience in roleplay or tools simulations using AI is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing and developing roleplay simulations using AI tools (e.g., SecondNature, Rehearsal, ChatGPT) or non-AI methods (e.g., branching scenarios, live roleplays).
- Familiarity with scenario-based learning strategies that support skill development in customer service, sales, or technical training environments.
