We are seeking a knowledgeable and innovative Biology Curriculum Developer to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and implement engaging and effective biology curricula for various educational levels. This role requires a deep understanding of biology/ science concepts, pedagogical strategies, and curriculum standards, along with a passion for enhancing student learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive biology curricula for K-12, college, or other educational programs.
  • Create lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments that align with educational standards.
  • Incorporate diverse instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.

Content Development:

  • Write and edit biology content, including textbooks, workbooks, digital resources, and multimedia materials.
  • Develop interactive and engaging activities, exercises, and projects to enhance learning.
  • Ensure all content is accurate, current, and aligned with best practices in biology education.

Standards Alignment:

  • Align curriculum with national, state, or international standards and frameworks.
  • Stay updated on changes in educational standards and adjust curricula accordingly.
  • Collaborate with educators and stakeholders to ensure curricula meet educational requirements and goals.

Assessment Creation:

  • Design formative and summative assessments to evaluate student understanding and progress.
  • Develop rubrics and grading guidelines to ensure consistency and fairness in assessment.
  • Analyze assessment data to identify areas for improvement and inform instructional decisions.

Professional Development:

  • Provide training and support to teachers and educators on the implementation of the curriculum.
  • Develop instructional guides and resources to aid teachers in effective curriculum delivery.

Research and Innovation:

  • Conduct research on current trends and advancements in biology/ science education.
  • Integrate technology and digital tools to enhance curriculum delivery and student engagement.
  • Explore innovative approaches to biology instruction and curriculum design.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Biology, Education Major in Science/ Biology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum 2–3 years of curriculum development, teaching, or instructional design experience.
  • Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in curriculum development and instructional design, particularly in science education.
  • Teaching experience at the K-12 or college level is highly desirable.
  • Experience with digital education tools and e-learning platforms is a plus

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of science concepts and pedagogy.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in curriculum design software and educational technology tools.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret educational data.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Work Environment:

  • This position is remote
  • Must have access to a reliable internet connection and appropriate technological resources for remote work.

Job Type: Full-time / Part-time (everyday) , Work from home

Schedule: Evening shift PDT, Monday to Friday, Weekend availability

Pay: Php Php150.00 per hour
