Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Cloud Security DevOps Engineer to strengthen our security posture by implementing key security controls and processes. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Compliance as Code (CaC), and hands-on expertise in Terraform. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of security knowledge, programming skills, and DevOps experience to build scalable and secure solutions in modern cloud environments.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud-native infrastructure in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform using Terraform and other IaC tools.
• Drive automation efforts that improve efficiency, reliability, and visibility of security controls.
• Design and sustain automation solutions using programming languages like Python, Go, and Java to support security operations and infrastructure management.
• Oversee source control and branching strategies using GitLab or similar platforms to support collaborative development and maintain code integrity.

• Deliver clear documentation, technical guidance, and training to promote the effective use of automation frameworks within the Business Unit.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or a related field.
• Over 5 years of practical experience in DevOps, with a strong focus on building, deploying, and managing scalable infrastructure across diverse environments following security best practices.
• Applied knowledge of Web Application Firewalls (WAFs) and their role in the HTTP request/response cycle to improve application security and resiliency.
• Comprehensive understanding of cloud-native architectures and foundational security principles across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud platforms.
• Deep expertise in Terraform, encompassing module development, reusable architecture patterns, and adherence to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.
• Experience with Git and branch/merge strategies
• Experience in Python, Go, or Java, with demonstrated capability in developing and integrating robust automation solutions for security and infrastructure workflows.
• Skilled in leveraging CI/CD platforms to embed security controls into the software development lifecycle, ensuring continuous compliance and quality assurance.
• Hands-on experience with configuration management tools such as Chef and Puppet to enforce system consistency and automate provisioning across environments.
• Working knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes for scalable deployments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, or Network Engineering, particularly in large organizations.
• Cloud Security & Infrastructure (Azure): Skilled in implementing and managing network security groups, routing, peering configurations, private endpoints, firewalls, web application firewalls, and monitoring tools such as Sentinel.
• Enterprise Networking: Strong background in Cisco and FortiGate technologies, with expertise in VPN solutions, secure hybrid connectivity, and overall network protection strategies.
• Manage and secure identity and access by implementing and administering Azure AD, Conditional Access, RBAC, Azure PIM, as well as privileged access solutions such as CyberArk and BeyondTrust.
• Automate processes and optimize infrastructure deployment through PowerShell scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
• Maintain and support virtualization platforms including VMware and Hyper-V to ensure stable and scalable environments.
• Ensure compliance with security frameworks such as Essential Eight, NIST, and SOCI by applying best practices and governance controls.
• Strengthen monitoring and incident response using Azure Sentinel for SIEM, including the ingestion, analysis, and management of security logs.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assist in the implementation, monitoring, and support of security technologies across customer environments, including SIEM, EDR, Email/Web Security, and Cloud Security tools.
• Support onboarding and integration of log sources, security controls, and endpoint solutions under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Work collaboratively with the PMO and engineering team to contribute to successful delivery of security projects and tasks.
• Respond to customer queries and escalations with professionalism and a focus on accurate, timely resolution.
• Conduct initial troubleshooting, log analysis, and issue investigation across supported platforms.
• Maintain high-quality technical documentation and contribute to service transition artefacts.
• Participate in internal knowledge sharing, security research, and training initiatives.
• Engage with customers in a professional and responsive manner to support ongoing service delivery.
• Escalate complex issues appropriately and contribute to root cause analysis and resolution tracking.
• Stay up to date on security best practices, emerging threats, and vendor technologies relevant to the role.
• Stay abreast of emerging threats, techniques, and technologies to help evolve service offerings and maintain relevance in a fast-changing landscape.

Minimum Qualifications: What We're Looking For

• 1–3 years of experience in Security Engineering or IT Support with a focus on cloud security
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles.
• Experience in implementing security controls and measures.
• Knowledge of security compliance standards and regulations.
• Ability to conduct security risk assessments
• Exposure to: SIEM platforms (Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Rapid7 InsightDR, CrowdStrike NG-SIEM, Trend Vision One)

• Log source onboarding and event analysis

We're looking for an Cloud Security Engineer (IAM) to join our ETS Control and Governance team at MBPS. In this role, you are expected to define and maintain a standard access model for cloud resources, review and approve access requests every day within the committed SLA. You will enhance existing automation to make the review and approval task more efficient. Furthermore, you will drive remediation of deviations from the standard access model.

Position Responsibilities:

• Define and communicate the standard access model for various access level to resources in the Public Cloud service.
• Own the intake channels including SNOW Process and IaC Pipelines.
• Manage access authorization for public cloud resources.
• Perform access review and approval on a daily basis with the committed SLAs.
• Develop/enhance automation for intake, review, and implementation.
• Monitor assignment of privileged roles on a daily basis.
• Discover and remediate deviations from approved access model in the existing environment.
• Maintain an exception process and tracks temporary elevation of privileges.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in cloud security, identity and access management , or DevOps engineering .
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (especially Azure) and DevOps tools such as Terraform, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Python, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Nice to have: Security-first mindset with working knowledge of RBAC , ABAC , Least Privilege , and Just-in-Time Access principles.
• Proven experience in building or maintaining automation pipelines for cloud governance.
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a global team environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Familiarity with Access Standard Frameworks is considered a nice-to-have , not a requirement.
