As we expand our digital design team, we're hiring across three levels: entry-level trainees, experienced designers, and team leaders.

About the role:

CDA is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented dental lab product designer with a solid background in 3Shape or Exocad CAD design and a passion for creating high-quality dental restorations, including implants. They are innovative, collaborative, and have a strong understanding of dental anatomy, digital workflows, and implant systems, ensuring precise and functional designs that meet clinical and patient-specific needs.

Requirements of the role include, but are not limited to this following:

1. Key Responsibilities

• Ability to interpret and execute doctor prescriptions (Rx) and specifications for crown and bridge and implant cases.
• Design models, copings, posterior and anterior crowns, bridges, implant custom abutments, and implant crowns.
• Ensure accurate fit, function, and aesthetics for designs, meeting both clinical and patient-specific needs.
• Collaborate with lab team (e.g., managers, ceramists, and other technicians) to ensure proper design

2. Technical Skills

• Proficiency in
  3Shape CAD workflows
  (crown & bridge, implant abutments, implant crowns).
• Knowledge of the digital dental manufacturing processes, including scanning, designing, and milling.
• Knowledge of different implant systems (Straumann, Nobel Biocare, ZimVie, etc.) and implant design specifications
• Proven experience in designing implant restorations such as abutments, crowns, and bridges.
• Understanding of digital workflows for implant case planning, including guided surgery designs (if applicable).
• Proficiency with 3D printing technologies, material selection, and post-processing techniques.
• Strong grasp of dental anatomy and occlusion principles.
• Exocad or other CAD/CAM software experience is a plus

3. Communication and Collaboration

• Coordinate with other lab departments (e.g., model room, scanning team, ceramists) to ensure smooth workflow.
• Provide guidance or mentorship to junior technicians in CAD/CAM and implant design techniques.

4. Attention to Detail

• Meticulous attention to detail to create precise and functional designs.
• Ability to troubleshoot and adjust designs to address potential challenges in fit, function, or aesthetics.

5. Time Management and Workflow

• Efficiently manage multiple design cases within tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
• Flexibility to adapt to urgent cases or last-minute design changes as needed.

6. Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (required); an associate's degree or certification in dental technology (preferred).
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in dental laboratory design, with a focus on implant parts.
• Proven hands-on experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., 3Shape, Exocad, or similar).
• Familiarity with dental restorations, implant systems, components, and workflows.

7. Additional Conditions

CAD software support is not provided
– candidates must already have access to 3Shape software.
