  • Create weekly replenishment plans on a supplier level based on inventory parameters, actual sell-out, and planned forecast
  • Participate in S&OP forecast meetings
  • Calculate a proper supply plan based on generated demand forecast
  • Prepare and update monthly and weekly supply planning files and KPI reports based on actuals
  • Maintain healthy inventory in DC and store based on target days cover

Qualifications

This Demand Planning Officer position is responsible for all forecasting activities associated with Channels, Customers, Plants, Brands and SKUs. The Demand Planner holds the position of the key integration point into the key functional areas of Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. Accountabilities

   a.    b. Forecast Accuracy (KPI)

Use and maintain the Demand Planning data repository system (BW, BobJ and Anaplan) as the primary forecast and STD/STT performance system data reference, ensuring correctness and accuracy of data (product hierarchy, channel, and account maintenance etc.). Maintenance of these two business intelligence tools is significant on business decisions of key people from Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain, as follows:

i. Analysis and recommendations from Sales/Marketing driven from historical data on STD/STT in volume/values; and,

ii. 18-Mos Rolling Forecast in Anaplan/BobJ/BW as planning reference points of the Finance and Supply Chain organization. Master Production Schedule (MPS) for capacity planning, and Material Requirement Plan (MRP) for raw/packaging materials planning reference.

B. Communication

     a. Interact with Sales, Marketing and VCG/SC to understand demand forecast drivers thru:

i. Utilizing a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.

ii. Provide input to the Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items (ATL and BTL promotions), new products, and product phase-outs.

iii. Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply planning.

iv. Review sales plans, Latest Estimates, and demand drivers.

v. Present, solicit, and assess feedback on the various forecasts from sales and marketing.

vi. Recommend adjustments for operational forecasts.

vii. Review promotional plans with sales.

viii. Prepare relevant material to facilitate analysis and discussion.

ix. Provide input to volume planning (Latest Estimates / annual process)

x. Facilitates monthly, quarterly, and as needed, the Demand Management Review (DMR) on specific plant/category/brands as assigned.

C. Authority

     a. Facilitates Demand Management Review Process meetings on categories/channel assigned. Only the Demand Management Group is authorized per Demand Management Review (DMR) Policy is authorized to run process.

     b. Maintains 18months rolling forecast availability in system for Daily Performance Report tracking and MPS/MRP requirement. Only Demand Management Group is authorized to maintain 18-months rolling forecast in system (BW/BobJ/Anaplan/SAP).

FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

A. Education – College graduate, Business course, Statistics/Math and Planning related courses (eg. IE).

B. Experience / Expertise – Preferably at least 3-5 years as Demand Planner / Planner / Statistician or any relevant experience in the industry.

C. Skills / Competencies

     a. Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts. Knowledge of Demand Planning or other software related to demand planning is preferred.

     b. Experienced with other software packages including Windows, and Microsoft Office.

     c. This position requires strong analytical, organizational, decision making, and presentation skills.

  • Key participant in yearly budget building process

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related business field
  • Minimum of 1 year of Supply Chain or Business experience
  • Very good communication skills
  • Experience in using PC-based applications (such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and/or Access)

Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies

  • Hands-on experience in demand planning and simulation systems or tools
