**Position Responsibilities:**
+ Work with IT and Project Management colleagues and vendors to ensure the required technical assets are resilient and systems are built with DR requirements embedded. You'll be a DR Subject Matter Expert on projects that utilize various project management methodologies (mostly Agile) and current technologies.
+ Guide and assist with the selection of appropriate DR solutions or high availability configurations in a 95% cloud-based model.
+ Consult squads on the proper development and documentation of plans, procedures and associated roles and responsibilities necessary to recover or prove resiliency for required business applications and services.

+ Work with the Global Risk Management team in the development of related DR policies and standards; perform segment gap analyses and work with business teams and technical teams to implement policies and processes throughout the segment.

**Required Qualifications:**
+ 5 + years of progressive experience in Disaster Recovery planning and testing in a large complex organization strongly preferred; and demonstrated knowledge of best practices and industry standards
+ Require a self-motivated, critical objective thinker who can demonstrate follow-through and resourcefulness to achieve value added outcomes.
+ Demonstrate ability to see the big picture to drive efficiencies and develop new strategies
+ Possess a working technical knowledge of systems (client/server), networking (LAN/WAN), storage, resiliency configuration options and data replication methods
+ Experience with cloud-based architecture and industry standard recovery solutions
+ Achievement oriented with proven project management skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities within tight deadlines.

The role will work with process owners to develop testing strategies and resolve any issues encountered during the control assessment process. Also, this role will work directly with the corporate risk management team to ensure compliance with corporate business continuity standards. This position will also interface with IT to ensure adequate backup plans are in place for systemic dependencies.
This role will also have responsibility for other Risk Management activities within Global Business Services to include Segregation of Duties, Single Point of Failure Assessment, and Third Party Vendor Oversight / Dependencies.

+ Take lead or play a support role during tabletop exercises (editing slides, filling out and sending in the questionnaire afterward, etc.)
+ Ensure that gaps are documented, and the lessons learned are incorporated into the site's plans

**Responsibilities:**
+ Contribute to the development of new techniques and improvement of processes and work-flows by applying in-depth disciplinary knowledge and integrating subject matter and industry expertise within Risk Management
+ Develop recommendations to adjust credit policies by analyzing credit and financial performance and utilizing statistical scoring, segmentation, and regression and simulation techniques
+ Utilize Statistical Analysis System (SAS) in a UNIX environment to perform risk, financial and data analyses including profiling, sampling, reconciliation, and quality testing

In this role, you will be part of a team responsible for developing and maintaining global pricing, underwriting and claims standards, coordinating the annual new business plan process, and assessing product and underwriting initiatives across all segments of the enterprise to ensure they fall within risk appetite, and driving research activities to inform the development and review of the company risk appetite and standards.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ **Standards & Policies:**
+ Support the development, oversight, and annual reviews of Corporate Pricing, Underwriting, and Claims standards.
+ Oversee compliance through consolidation and review of Product, Pricing, Underwriting, and Claims Self-Assessment Questionnaires across geographic segments and lines of business.
+ **Management Reporting & Oversight:**

**Required Qualifications:**
+ Progress towards certification with a recognized international Actuarial professional body (Fellowship preferred) with 10+ years of relevant experience.
+ Demonstrates mastery regarding technical aspects of Pricing and Product Development processes, with familiarity in underwriting or claims functions an asset.
+ Demonstrated capability to lead and develop a small to medium sized team
+ Proficiency in Moody's Axis, Risk Integrity, and IFRS17 reporting would be an asset.

+ Develop a comprehensive universe of targeted coverage for operational risk that supports a risk-based annual plan
+ Independently monitor operational risk trends and activities
+ Support and perform an effective challenge process based on a defined criteria and build into annual plan
+ Support independent 2LoD testing of ORs, incl. integration of methodologies and test plans to address interconnected risks
+ Coordinate a holistic, de-duplicated independent risk assessment process
+ Proactively identify areas for high risk for intervention
+ Support a cross-functional Communities of Practice (CoPs) to share best practice techniques and pioneer new methodologies
