Job Purpose:
The Credit Control Manager is responsible to manage and maintain all aspects of the credit control function whilst rendering business support to the Finance and Sales Departments, making recommendations of credit control policies and procedures, to ensure a healthy customer receivables portfolio and improve communication, workflow and process between the relevant departments.
This position will be reporting to the Finance Manager and will be based in Sto. Tomas, Batangas manufacturing site.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and control the credits of Jotun customers by evaluating their creditworthiness and monitoring the credit status.
- Manage and decrease company cost of credit by controlling the risk of credit, risk non-payment, the risk associated with late payments, and risks of opening new accounts.
- Evaluate and prepare credit recommendations for prospective new customers with financial information based on input from the Business Development Manager.
- Manage and monitor the process and data integrity of the AR systems and applications by extracting IFS reports to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the accounting process flow.
- Maintain financial reports and monthly closing procedures related to the account receivable function and status of accounts using the IFS system to minimize the company's Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and control the Credit Risk.
- Maintain customer receivables set and met collection targets on a monthly basis by monitoring or controlling payment behavior by controlling credit limits and terms to ensure a healthy customer receivables portfolio.
- Evaluate and prepare credit recommendations for prospective new customers with financial information based on input from the Business Development Manager.
- Arrange credit meetings with the sales department for evaluation/ review of customer status. Provide salesmen with current information about customers' accounts and assist them in achieving their collection targets by planning their collections based on the customer's sales pattern.
- Coordinate legal cases with lawyers or other authorities depending on the nature of the case. Collection of tax-related documents within the stipulated time frame in order to avoid tax liability during the assessment. Ensure appropriate reporting of risk exposure (AR losses). Support Management with adequate reports on credit and collection, payment problem accounts, and legal issues.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.
Risk Analysis & Assessment
. Collect, evaluate, and interpret data in collaboration with business units and operating companies to support enterprise-wide risk assessments. Analyze exposures across financial, operational, strategic, and regulatory domain based on the risk appetite thresholds.
2.
Stakeholder Engagement
. Engage with business units to assess identified risks, evaluate existing controls, and provide insights for risk mitigation and management.
3.
Reporting & Communication.
Prepare clear, insightful risk reports and dashboards for senior management and board-level review, supporting risk oversight and decision-making.
4.
Risk Advocacy & Awareness
. Coordinate internal campaigns, training sessions, and initiatives aimed at fostering a strong risk culture and enhancing organizational risk awareness.
5.
Administrative Support.
Organize and support risk-related events, workshops, and communications. Maintain documentation, records, and schedules associated with risk meetings, trainings, and awareness programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Risk Management, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CRMA, CERM, CPA, CIA) are an advantage.
Experience: At least 2 years in data analysis, risk management, internal audit, or finance.
Technical Skills:
o Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify risk trends.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in preparing reports and delivering presentations to senior stakeholders.
o Strong communicator with the ability to engage, influence, and collaborate.
